Let's get this road on the show.
A hearty 2-0 to us to dispel the gloom.

x2 direct (saveablve) Fks
x2 poor bits of defending from the young lad.

Goals at bad times, it happens. On another day we're still in the game and pushing for an equaliser / winner. It's fustrating, but not a 1-4 like we've seen many times before..

Forget it and move on to midweek game, with one eye on plugging the GK/LB leak.

All the problems they didn't rectify in the summer coming home to roost.

The GK, full backs and CM all being exposed. Yet
Nourry deliberately ignored them all.

Can't do it all in one window mate.

We sorted out the striker problem, brought in Hayden and RND.

They put all their faith in Walsh which was a poor decision.

Meh

Sick and tired of this boom or bust cycle that happens every year

Lower mid table beckons whilst no mark teams like Charlton and Millwall surge past us again.

So bad today, apart from Burrell, no one comes out with any credit.
Our manager was terrible, with the team selection, zero points for him.

I don't usually pay attention to this xG rubbish.
But there's is 1.02. Ours is 1.5.
Yet they are winning 4-1?
Does this just highlight that we gift goals to our opposition?

In a word, yes.

Nardi is costing us goals and games. That first free kick one is unforgivable. Need to sort it.

Not a great performance but without that I think we would have been in the game still with a chance of a result.

We’ve got good players and try to attack so im hopeful for rest of season. Witj more players available JS just needs to figure out best 11 and system.

I don't think continually changing the starting line up does us any favours. Decide on your best team and stick with it.

Esquerdinha and perhaps Vale shouldn't be starting games. You bring them on in the second half when in a winning position to develop them.

Agreed. The manager either doesn't know his best team/approach, or, if he does, consistently fails to play it. He talks about how closely he watches other teams, using his squad and adapting tactically to each game, but he doesn't convince me with his broad-brush interviews and inability to do anything as specific as name another Championship player in his pre-match analysis. I think he flatters to deceive, like his team.

No attacking width today, weak at full back, zero command by anyone in the six-yard box, and precious little concerted creativity all over the park. Ipswich were comfortably a cut above us all over the pitch and will be promotion challengers, but we have real problems.

There's a lot of sense in that.

But the tactics and the intensity levels will also have to be considered.

Mbengue yellow. 89 minutes gone. 1-4 down.

He swung an arm at a Millwall player right at the end of the game. If he had connected and been seen he was off.

Indeed, and at HT we were bang in it showing good intensity. Within 90 secs we're 1-2 down and chasing it leading to 1-3, so poor decisions cost us against an expensivly assembled side.
We were not rolled over in the traditional sense of the word.

Well that was fecking abysmal, to setup at home that narrow and lose it is maddness.

Keeper poor, best defence sat on the bench at home, Illy not ready for a match start gets one.

Too many errors in to small a space. I stopped watching the managers post match as he says nothing so will be eagerly awaiting reports of why that was just such a fecking shambles.

Stadium empty at the end.

The slop don't stop, do it? That was (poor) League One stuff at best.

It's a bit early to be calling for (Joe) Le Taxi for Monsieur Julien, but, dear god, he and his team are falling seriously short right now in pretty much every position.

What positives can any of us take from today?

Sacre bleu!

Agree with this. There is no way we are going to see what we can do after conceding so early in both halves. Got back into it and only went and did it again. Hard to tell how good Ipswich were today because we got chinned twice and there was no way back. A very disappointing self inflicted defeat.

Fair play to the opposition who did what they had to do in third gear.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Andy Sinton saying that we have to put this one behind us and move on to the next game.

He is right of course, however, we have already said this too many times this season.

Starting slowly both halves seems to be an ongoing issue with us…I get nervous for first 15 minutes each half…not sure why this is but it’s a problem we need to fix…some bad goals to concede today. The other issue around conceding free kicks in dangerous positions another annoying habit…oh well on to Saints Wednesday..
