Only plus point is I’m already home and dinner in the microwave. Plenty of “friendly” stick off the locals on the train back to Lowestoft, going to get slaughtered at work tomorrow.

| Had we drawn with Blackburn and today on 22:31 - Nov 29 by Benny_the_Ball | That's too simplistic a view as it also depends on who you're getting those points against. This season QPR are really struggling against teams down the bottom and giving them every opportunity to close the gap and suck us into a relegation battle. In any event, what happened earlier in the week is history and therefore somewhat irrelevant. It's always about the next game. When you boil it down, we were playing a team second from bottom who hadn't won at home since May. To lose the match and in that fashion was unforgiveable. |
Suggesting that we should be beating teams lower down the table presupposes that the opposition players there aren't more motivated and hopeful of a win against teams slightly higher than themselves. Norwich are a big club who are underperforming (and have along list of injuries). At some point in the season they were likely to "wake up", and they're more likely to think a midtable team is beatable than the likes of Coventry. Perhaps if we were 80% of the way through the seaon we should be expecting to beat bottom three teams, but we are only just 40% of the way through, so plenty can change (and will).

| Had we drawn with Blackburn and today on 21:47 - Nov 29 by Philothesuperhoop | I think that there is a bigger point at play here We are playing truly awful football. This week we’ve had one half decent half against Hull. Blackburn was terrible, but we happened to win. We are playing like a Sunday league team. We couldn’t win the ball or pass it to a hooped shirt today. The defence are doing odd things because they spend their whole time covering for the fact that the keeper is glued to his line. This is a very decent squad (missing an 8 and a keeper) and we are massively underperforming. Playing kick and run football that is awful to watch. How can anyone think that bringing Frey on is the solution to anything? Hayden played like a grown up when he came on and Morgan tried to pass forwards. They are the only positives I can find. Warburton would have this squad in the top eight playing attractive football. Cast your mind backs to his football…we’d go one down and not worry as we knew we’d score three. If Poku is ok for the bench then surely he could have played 30 minutes? |
Agree Kolli should have been on the bench to bring not Frey.

| Had we drawn with Blackburn and today on 11:14 - Nov 30 by StrawberryHillR | The more games you go unbeaten, the closer you are to your next defeat... for a side like Coventry and the form they're in, they go on long runs... for a side like us, coming off the back off of a horrible run with a couple of wins, we're going to mean revert a bit quicker... And I'm sure this has been done to death elsewhere, but the schedules this week were totally out of whack... Norwich played at home on Tuesday, we went to Blackburn on Wednesday... yes I'm surprised we didn't rotate the squad but he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't... you're a genius until you're an idiot. |
Surely no one would criticise the manager for making changes after two tough games only days before? The guy was appointed in the knowledge that he could manage three game weeks. We have had Field and Hayden, two hugely experienced defensive midfielders warming the bench all season. Surely it was the time to play one of them in midfield and put our best left back on after resting him on Wednesday. Frey coming on instead of Kone or Kolli was downright nonsense. JS got yesterday wrong, pure and simple.

Yesterday's performance was completely unacceptable, it put a right dampener, no pun intended, on what had been up to then, a good week. Bloody Norwich hadn't won a game at home all season, then Billy Smarts QPR circus turns up, and hey presto, Norwich are transformed into bloody Barcelona all of a fuggin sudden. We should all be thoroughly pissed off, fed up to the back teeth, of this bloody club's reluctance to put teams like Norwich to the bloody sword. There is a losers mentality about this club, and some of it's fans too, it would appear.

We also allowed Sheffield Wednesday to score their first home goal of the season too.And gifted Derby only their 2nd home win of the season. Charity park rangers on more than 1 occasion this season so far. And I forgot that Ipswich hadn’t won away until they played us. [Post edited 30 Nov 16:27]

QED, I think. So if I'm mean and spiteful (I'm not), that's my personality, and when others like you are, you're/they're just reflecting me back to myself? And you call me pathetic? Just go away and do something creative with your life if you can. [Post edited 30 Nov 18:30]

You are very delusional little man. I guess all the arguments you have on here is all because of the other person. Nothing to do with the the one common factor in all of this. If this is how you are in the real world and not just on a message board, I really do pity you. Must be a very lonely life. Take care little man | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Had we drawn with Blackburn and today on 06:41 - Dec 1 with 252 views | Rsole | We just don’t learn much at this club and the picture below sums it up for me. Simple things. Maybe we have a better squad, but we don’t necessarily pick the right team/formation or have the players to create a cohesive team. We don’t rotate players who are nearly dead on their feet when we have like for like replacements on the bench now. We have many coaches and back room staff, hardly any seemingly report to the head coach and it feels like some of the coaching that does take place is misplaced. We travel unnecessary miles between games when we could simply send the players directly to the next location and use a local hotel with training/recovery facilities nearby. We extend contracts for players like Frey and play him ahead of Kone and Kolli. We have a game model - until it’s not working at which point we panic and throw it in the bin. Focus on youth until we lose games due to lack of experience. We hire an inexperienced coach (for our league) and the club wonders why it takes him a while to learn stuff. We had an icon at the club that many fans revere, but one day they are gone and we hear about it via the press rather than the club, speculation ensues. We get inside info because of the lack of club news on the subject and reject it because someone is ITK and that causes some form of friction between fans when actually, that’s because of the point above and the club handling matters. I could go on but I am getting to the point where it feels that any form of learning has gone by the wayside because people think they are smarter than they are. The list continues… It’s a simple game and a simple business. Some learning, standards and consistency, on and off the pitch would be a start. All I ask is that we try and do better than this with our club - please. | |
