getting to the ground is fun i hear as you cannot go thru westfield , how do their security know you are not a shopper? so most have a 15-20 min walk, from stations.
i suppose the weather factor must come in too.

1) Possibly the most important is. Do we need to find a watering hole outside of Stratford? I know we've been advised to, but is it necessary?
2) As we have bus replacement on Greater Anglia services, I'm yet to decide whether to drive to Shenfield or Gants Hill. Is their still free road parking available at Gants Hill on the side roads? I suppose this question could also apply to Fairlop or Hainault.
3) If I'm using the Central Line, is it better/quicker to walk to Leyton after the game than use Stratford?

You have all the Elizabeth line stations to choose from, too. I'd be looking at somewhere like Harold Hill, probably free street parking there on a Sunday (check parkopedia). |  |

If you're coming from the east, you've got much better options all round.

> Unfortunately, yes. Not many options and you need a home ticket anyway. But if you're coming on CL westbound, there's really good pubs aright by Leytonstone (Red Lion, plus a Spoons) and Wanstead (George) tubes, plus a good one five mins walk up Leyton High Street (Engineer).

Always worth remebering that no matter how shit the bottom Prem teams look they are better than anything in the Championship. Just look at Ipswich, Burnley etc. I fully exoect us to lose by at least 2 goals.
That being said if we get the first goal we have a hell of a chance.

Re question 1: There are only a few bars in Westfield, they are all shit and overpriced. Will be full of West Ham. Usually queues to get in them. Avoid like the plague.
There are a couple of pubs in old Stratford, but again would avoid like the plague. Drink in Hackney Wick or Leyton and then travel in would be my advice.
It will definitely be quicker to go back to Leyton than try and use Stratford. Queues of up to an hour to get back into Stratford station have been known in the past | | | |

Such a shit ground for pubs this new gaff. I can think of 20+ pubs within a 15 minute walk of Upton park back in the 80's/90's/2000's. Even 90% of them have closed trading since the move.

I'm not going to this... and there is one simple reason for that... the club don't give a monkeys about it.... and I'm fed up of going to cup games and being turned over, and coming away saying never again.

I've been for resting on other occasions but this time it's different. We have a whole week to prepare and recover from the last nine days. We also have almost a week after it. The risk of injury is reduced as we don't have to play on our patch.
Win at West Ham, or even if we don't but we perform very well and it will boost our confidence for Stoke.
Don't risk anyone who isn't 100% but otherwise play the best eleven you can. As DaveB said put an extra midfielder in at the start and bring Kolli on, as he probably isn't ready for the full 90. | | | |

Agree on your last point - if Stéphan tries playing 2 up top we'll get absolutely mullered. Definitely play our best team possible and field an extra player in the middle of the park; bide our time 'til Kolli comes on to score a last minute winner

The arrogance of it all is incredible for a team and a club who have no right to say we won't bother today.

As I work in Stratford I thought I would have a stroll at lunchtime and can confirm it took me 6 and half minutes to get from Pudding Mill Lane (DLR) station to the away entrance.
You can get the DLR from Stratford to Pudding Mill Lane - 1 stop, or from Lewisham / Canary Wharf coming in the other direction.
Please note that there are two DLR platforms at Stratford - the other one goes to Woolwich via Canning Town and is not the one you want. | | | |
