Very true lol. Their ground is tucked away down a lane in suburban Bromley - blink and you'd miss it. Mad they will probably be in League One next season. [Post edited 25 Jan 11:34]

Hey bosh67 you could be talking about Brentford! That's Brentford who not only look like getting European football next season but may even have a sniff of a chance to get into the Champions League! Strikers come and go-Watkins,Toney,Mbeumo,Wissa-but no problem step forward Thiago. Only Haaland has scored more in the Prem this season. Managers come and go but the momentum continues. Who remembers Peter Crouch's first game for us? July 2000 in a friendly which we won by 2-0 against...Brentford! As someone once said "Football...it's a funny old game."

I look at our squad and think Meh, I reckon Managers from other clubs look at our squad and thing Meh. I'm almost at the shrugging of shoulders stage about the whole thing.

| Wrexham fans on 13:22 - Jan 25 with 1564 views | Paddyhoops | Spoke to a one or two and they seemed a friendly bunch . Let’s not kid ourselves though . They are a made up football club with mountains of money behind them and a 18 million pound grant from the Welsh government. I get it. it’s good for the area and the money goes round the pyramid but its town has a population of 60 thousand or so . Under normal circumstances it would be flitting between leauge one and two but they will end up as a premier leauge club . Same as another made up football club like Birmingham. Money talks. We had the chance and blew it but they look they have a more sustainable model. As for us we are selling out pretty much every week and gaining fans year in year out. And we’re not even any good . | | | |

But a great bunch . They could quite easily dissappeared up their own R soles with the celebrity backing and tv super stardom . But I was very surprised how down to earth they were . Good luck to them

Sixth oldest club in Britain and in my memory, a team that always hovered in the Third division, though without checking records, I'm pretty sure I recall them in the Second. So, 'made up football club' they are not. Good luck to 'em.

No! There's only one Westway! I was born St Mary's Harrow Road and always lived around the Harrow Road / Westbourne Park - in the shadow of the westway - before moving up here to Chester.

Going in which direction? We continue to bob around in roughly the same position, so simple maths dictates that for every club which rises above us, another sinks below. Reading, Wigan and Blackpool all currently sit in the lower half of League One and recent Prem teams Bolton, Huddersfield, Luton and Cardiff are also in that division right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not satisfied with where we are, we need to get promoted, but no one gets promoted in January, not even Hollywood FC.

The key words here are we continue to bob around in roughly the same position. The thing is we have been fairly static for 10 years like s Monopoly piece selected and going to jail in the first move. If we keep finishing around the same position it gives the impression we lack ambition and have made zero progress. We exist but just appear to be making up the numbers. While we have been loitering around the lower half of the table we have seen Wrexham go above us from non league, Luton went from non league to the Premiership, admittedly they have now gone back down to league 1, Ipswich sailed by us to the Premiership and are still above us despite relegation, Sunderland look like they are staying in the Premiership, Coventry are in a great place to join Sunderland next season and now Derby are above us. I accept some clubs like Portsmouth and Oxford could return to league 1 with Sheffield Wednesday so we have done OK in terms of avoiding the drop. However, while we continue to finish around the bottom half that does not suggest we are moving upwards out of the rut. Sure, we could still finish in the top half but not if we are unfit as appears to be the case. I was watching Villa winning at Newcastle today and thinking how fit they look. They were playing in Turkey on Thursday and won. Despite all the travelling and having to then travel to Newcastle didn't seem to affect them. Yet I read on here our boys are out on their feet at home to Wrexham but we only went to Oxford on Tuesday not Turkey. If we had done our research we would know Wrexham score quite often in stoppage time. How is it we can muster the dark arts of the game for 100 minutes at Stoke but can't do it for 4 minutes yesterday to see the game out? We should know Wrexham finish their games strongly which they regularly demonstrated in their rise from non league. If we keep fielding unfit players we cannot move forward as a club. Our club needs a major shake up if it is ever to wake up. If I was a Wrexham fan I would be happy about the direction of the club and the never give up approach and winning mentality of their team so fair play to them. Yesterday's finish was another depressing low for me as an R.
