Not intending to dampen the mood following a great away win but just keen to hear what others think.
For being a mainstay and a key creative outlet for so many years, hardly missing a match, I just really hope we see Illy back this season and getting 8-10 games under his belt so he can be a vital part of this team again.
I sit in F block with my dad who has a watched the Rs since the late 60s and he fears that the once robust Chair may be a thing of the past, I hope he’s wrong but am worried he’s right.
Guess time will tell and he’s still young, but to me it’s kinda startling how he’s had so many injury setbacks over the past couple of years with hardly anything for all the time before.
Really think this team with a fully fit Chair on the left (or in the middle) could really excite and help us to challenge those playoff spots.

In lieu of any official confirmation and putting two and two together. Do we think that maybe the player is upset how his injury has been treated and this is currently a source of contention?
See, this is what happens when there is a vacuum of knowledge!
It could be a theory, as it was def reported that we would see Chair back after Xmas. Maybe he was meant to be, and something new happened? Or, maybe it was misdiagnosed, or rehab wasn't correct and the player is appealing it, or maybe he got treatment outside of the club?
Who knows anymore? I'm just not happy I can't see my favourite players on a Saturday, I wish someone could tell me the science bit

Maybe he wants out, but the comments around his availability some time ago and several training setbacks later and now, suddenly its unknown as to his return.
We can all only guess. Is it mental health a la various in our past, has he lost his mojo for the game, are the reported setbacks all actually true but then why do we have no details to stop et al playing a guessing game.
Would love Chair to be back soon, but beginning to wonder have we seen the last of him. The smokescreens we have been sent, suggest all is not well, but the lack of detail is worrying.
Come back Illy, the fans love you, even if the regime may not....
It’s very strange isn’t it. Apologies for repeating myself but even his exit from the field in the game he got injured in was peculiar . 2 minutes to half time , didn’t try and make it to the break, didn’t go down , didn’t get any treatment, didn’t see if he could run it off and didn’t even grab or comfort the part of his body that was apparently injured , as you do when in pain or discomfort as far as I could see. The ball went out of play and the 4th official held his number up . It’s just odd. As far as I can see there has been no official statement that it is his hamstring. It might be? Maybe it’s nothing , his had a setback and we’ll see him in a few weeks. But if you leave a void to fill by fans wondering what on Earth is going on because you refuse to give them even a morsal of info (now also see Cook and Smyth) about what the injury even is , then it will be filled . Some will disagree but I don’t think it’s good enough .
Edit: unless of course it’s a very personal or psychological matter. In which case I will apologise of course . But even then something can could be relayed to the fanbase just asking for patience and privacy . But that is a more difficult situation admittedly

I didn't realise he'd only managed 11 games this season after only 28 last term. It's very unfortunate that he's had so many injuries over the last 2 seasons and it seems to be getting worse and more regular. No doubt, a fully match fit Chair would have given us more points this season.
Will he be back? I really don't care. He's been one of our better mediocre players and does not make a difference to our progression in this division, given the mediocrity around him.
He is one of the tallest pygmys.

Stick to the cricket mate.
It's a bigger world than Burnley. Intelligence and insight and an appreciation of context is needed to navigate nuance and subtlety. Blind acceptance of consistent .mediocrity that has made no difference to progress is admirable. Eh hup me duck!

Watching on QPR+ it looked like he pulled up like he'd strained or pulled a muscle while trying to get space away from defenders on the edge of their penalty area. He seemed like he tried to run it off (perhaps not too smart a move) and got back to the edge of our penalty area trying to defend, where he stopped again and limped off. Looked all to normal for our players this season to me
