Thought we played really well, especially with basically our first team starting. Real positives Chair looked back to his old self, Madsen bossing midfield and like the look of Charles in goal, we even saw a debut goal by Boy Kember. Hope Kone's injury is not too bad he just seemed to crumple to the ground and he hopefully came off as a precaution. Postive about Poku when he came on in the 2nd half, honestly the best I have seen him so far and let's hope he holds out. Some lovely crisp passing in that first half and as I say Chair looks really good again. |  | | |  |

I really like the shape of the side in that first half .
Admittedly the opposition weren’t up to speed yet but we played some really nice stuff at times .
Concerned watching Madsen punch the floor in frustration when he went down .
Kone and maybe even moreso Madsen are vital to how we want to play .

i think Madsen going off was more precautionary but Kone's knock was definitely more serious.

Judging by the way those two reacted on the pitch, I would be stunned if they're not both long term injuries. Kone especially, with a non-contact going to the floor and being helped off the pitch, suggests to me his ACL is toast and he's done for the season. Madsen shook his head to Stephan as he walked down the tunnel as well so he knows it's not great either.
This level of injuries for this long (3rd season in a row now) is absolutely unacceptable and cannot continue. There needs to be serious questions asked (Fans forum anyone?) about what exactly is being changed with the medical staff and strategy to change this. This was the biggest thing they need to address this summer and it doesnt seem like it has been. |  | | |

Exactly as i saw it, looked like Nico got caught going for a 50/50!nothing intentional think he got stamped on. Wasn’t limping or anything but Kone just went down. Before we start blaming anyone remember this is the guy who had 2nd most minutes last season so normally resilient. As others said it didn’t look good. No doubt about it the team played well, Lots to be excited about and yes they definitely weren’t passing to Santos and noticed he was on his own at the end. | | | |

Watched them both back. Kone went to move off his knee then stopped and went down. That didn’t look good. Madsen jumped and landed awkwardly on his leg. Again I think knee but I don’t think will be that bad as more impact. My only slight hope with Kone is that he does get a lot of “knocks” and normally plays on. But in friendly, they won’t risk him. | | | |

Its the fact there is no straightforward or accurate timescales properly communicated with regards to recoveries. Appreciate varies by the individual, but a generalised recovery assessment time treats the fans with respect also.
However, despite many saying its the hierarchy at our club failing on this. Its very standard practice across many many clubs at our level.
Doesnt make it any less frustrating though.

I thought it was an enjoyable knockabout game as pre season friendlies go.
Nice to win but I'm not going to get too far ahead of myself. Main pluses were Chair looking sharp, and Poku catching the eye.
Main negatives of course were Kone and Madsen going off injured. Our season will only be as good as our injury record.
