After game one I feel satisfied that we will score more goals than last season. However, on the flip side I think that clean sheets will be a rarity. It could be a Keeganesque season of trying to outscore the oppo. Which should at least be highly entertaining.

Chair apparently Championship player of the day. Funny thing is, think we have all seen him play much better. Or at least play much more spectacularly. What's interesting to me is for both goals he was right there in the six yard box. In the past he was out wide on the left. If he was going to score it was almost always a long range effort after cutting in. If we are going to play one up top this season it seems the instruction is that Chair as the 10 is being asked to follow in as the second striker. If this pattern continues he is unlikely to get the long range efforts but quite possibly score many, many more bread and butter goals. This might loose us a bit of his flair (and tbh, a bit of his fannying around) but actually turn him into a more consistent match winner. One of our longest serving players, but actually a bit of an unknown quantity in this role.
