Absolutely deserved a point there, really decent performance and a very frustrating result. Far and away the better team second half, just couldn’t make it count.

Played much better once Burrell came on.
Could easily have a draw.
Vale very unlucky with his shot off the inside of the post.
Charles played well in goal saving two goals.

I am worried about the lack of fitness / form from Kone - he has regressed massively.
(look at his body shape when he scored at Hull vs today).
I am thinking our best fourteen players can match most teams.
However, this is progress as Middlesborough have absolutely smashed us the past few seasons and yet today they were wasting time and playing five in defence the last 20 minutes.
By the way we should stick to what the songs are coming out onto the pitch before the game and not play Hi Ho Silver Lining - this is stupid - this is a post win song not before the game song.

On the ref, just goes to show that they can make all these rule changes to stop players taking the p1ss but if the ref doesn't actually apply them, it makes no difference.
Should have been 9 or 10 minutes of stoppage time not 6.
Overall, Boro were the better team in the 1st half but think we played well enough in the 2nd to earn a point. Lankshear looks like an excellent buy for them but once he went off, they never looked like scoring (apart from the error by Mbengue giving the cheating barsteward Conway a chance). |  |

Disappointing but happy enough with that performance. Boro got to the play offs final last season and were clinging on at the end. Last season they totally embarrassed us. Big strides forward. Kone probably now third choice as this team has to have pace through the middle. Burrell did well, also impressed with Saito. Vale better than he was on Wednesday. We'd be totally screwed without Dunne.
Crowd was I'm good voice today. Upper and lower loft by SA road corner had We are the rangers boys going for about 7 or 8 minutes in the first half. Frustrating afternoon - but, as others have said, that frustration reflects real improvement. Injuries notwithstanding, we are clearly moving towards 'promotion' teams (Milwall, 'Boro) and steadily away from 'relegation fodder' (Cardiff, Pompey).

Disagree. Thought Saito did well today. Looks stronger and more confident than last season. Vale was better than he was on Wednesday but yes long term, would like to see Madsen ahead of him.
Kone starting was understandable after Burrell put in a hell of a shift on Wednesday. He was poor. I doubt that wasn't noticed by Stephan and I'd be surprised if he starts many more games in coming week assuming his injury isn't too bad. Pace is essential to this team and Kone is probably our slowest outfield player. The guy desperately needs a goal but he'll have to try and grab one off the bench. | | | |

What we ended up with was two extra injuries and very little contribution before the injuries. You have to ask what was the point when we played so well the other night and could have continued with that momentum.
I get the rotation argument but these are professional athletes and I’m sure they would prefer to play than sitting on the bench. Watching Burrell make that point was particularly galling on reflection. If I was him, I’d be seriously pissed at not starting.
Our over protection not only killed our opportunity, it proactively injured two more players and I’m not convinced that was the coach’s plan. He seemingly wants to win every game, as we do. Looking forward to hearing what he has to say because at some point the cracks will start to show again and we could do without that shit again. | |

Not sure how our rotation proactively injured two more players. I think the rotation is the right thing to do especially given the recent injury issues with several of our players, but whatever approach you take, some injuries are inevitable. | |

They are professional athletes but some of them (Cirkin and Lamptey in particular, maybe JCS) are only at QPR because of their struggles with injuries. If we want good players for peanuts then we have to accept that they might not be able to play 180 minutes inside 4 days. If they could do that regularly, they wouldn't be at QPR.
Trust the process I say. There'll be frustrating results along the way but we can't just flog the players to death. | | | |
