Feels like a pivotal game. A win turns a good start into a great one, a loss turns it into an OK one. So it'll probably be a draw. We always flunk these opportunities.
Should have nothing to fear going to the Valley. Geographically the 2 mid-week games have been very kind to us, so no excuses there. Losing Chair is a massive blow and feel we are teethering on the brink of a repeat of last season injury wise. Kone, Chair and Kemper already and we are only back a month. Still going top even st this early stage is a big deal and I am going for a reverse of Saturday. Smyth to get the only goal of the game.

I’m going for a draw. It keeps us in the play offs so wouldn’t be a bad thing as even with a very favourable fixture list to date I think most of us would’ve settled for that before the season started.
Think Charlton would go high press from our goalie but then dropping back quickly to squeeze us in and around their box. In other words give us very little space and time to play, especially after their 4-0 drubbing against Stoke. They won’t want those balls like Ronnie did to Burrell through the lines.
Middlesbrough were able to beat our press with some lovely balls over the top but those are harder to get accurately to feet.
1-1 I think.

No reason not to feel confident, they will probably feel the same, though maybe not quite as much on the back of a 4-0 loss.
We've played well (in parts at least) every game since Fiorentina, we have a system, good match fitness and a decent squad with some players who should only get better the more they play (Kamara, Lampty, Cirkin). We've mostly match Boro last game (accepting they were much better first half and we had the second half).
Our main issue remains taking our chances. I'm going for a hard fought 2-1 win.
I think a 1-1. I could see them bedding in and expecting us to beat them, especially after they got thumped on the weekend. We're never as good when that happens.

Three points tonight and we can go to WBA with nine from twelve in a good place looking for more. A loss or draw tonight increases the pressure for Saturday.
Concentrate on tonight and pick the best players you can, except Burrell on the bench as he had to do more than planned, on Saturday. Then rest those that need it on Saturday.
I agree with Myke, Ronnie and Jimmy look as if they can do more minutes than most.
Planned subs: Cirkin for Lamptey, Kamara for Varane, Saito for Poku (Smyth moves to the right) Burrell for Lloyd and try and get Obikwu on maybe for Smyth last 10/15 minutes.

hoping 2-1 win based on we are creating , getting forward and they have a few out injured, as we do , nathan jones will get them fired up cos he hates us and we him. we last season in mind, hope there are no crowding issues getting in/out and trains are good. also with ticket issues , some not having theirs sent, bet their box office will be busy.
