They like to control the ball, which suits us, as well known. So counter attack with Smyth, Poku etc. must be the plan. Keeping 11 men on the field is more the challenge.
Spoke to West Ham mate and he said they had a lot of the ball and didn't create much, passing for passing sake. When I've seen them they've looked tidy and easy on the eye and defend well.
Basically take your chances, similar to Derby and we can get something here.
Going for a 2-1 defeat but with no silly mistakes we can get a point here. Will need everyone at 7/8/9 to get it though.

Full house, 3.00pm kick off, weather wind and rain, we are the underdogs which will suit us and if we can get the crowd involved early (like 2nd half against Preston) then we have got a decent chance.

Looks like another sell out - was trying to get four seats together last night but everywhere was only individual seats :(

2-1 Rangers

Though I'd be happy with another draw

First trip to HQ this season. Looking forward to catching up with a few pals in the Shepherd & Flock pre-match.

As always hopeful of a win, but I know it will either be a draw or defeat. Hoping for a good first half performance, or I might find myself back in the pub sooner than expected.

First trip for me too. Given the forecast of severe convective storm, hurricane, tempest and flooding conditions I'll just be happy if the starting 11 make it out of the tunnel in one piece and onto the green stuff in the first instance.

There on a great run we are suffering from lots of injuries and will not be our strongest 11 on Saturday so everything pointing to a defeat so I will go 1 nil rangers in a tight tense game . First goal wins it fingers x its us about time Ronnie scored here’s hoping. Looking forward to a good match.

“A lot of the ball and didn’t create much” gives me the shivers - that is what I thought of Swansea in 2012…. Just before they ripped us apart 5-0 in the first league game.

I fear another hiding.

I don’t think we’ll get a hiding. Swansea have won most of their matches by one or two goals.

I think they will win 2-1 purely because of our injuries. I’m not sure who is going to score or create enough with the players we’ve got left.

Would quite like to see Cirkin play LM ahead of Kemper and swap Smyth over to the right.

I weirdly think we might get a result here.
Southampton next week less so.

1-0 R's

We drew with WH away, they lost to them at home in last two weeks, the form guide points to a win

To further cement, we lost to Brum away, they lost to Brum at home (yes I know it was Cup and in August)

I have changed my mind now, 2-0 R's (Vale and Kolli)

Can't see anything but a loss, although I haven't seen the team sheet yet.

I think people have got a bit carried away with how good we are. We're better, but not by a huge amount, and we've failed several times to win matches we should have won, at least six points lost there. We've won two points from four games against the sides above - with a further weakened side, what's going to change that tomorrow?

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Vancouver posted a thread about the next three games a while back that I was going to post on but didn’t.

Sadly my thoughts were how the morale of the fan base would react to 0 points out of 9 which is what I envisage with a loss tomorrow and next week on the south coast.

I hate to be this gloomy but with the injuries I can’t see it any other way.

I hope I’m wrong, of course.

I think we will see a reaction to last week’s game. We do have injuries, but I think the togetherness and mentality of the team, will want to get a win, 2-1 for us, Smyth and Kane?

swansea at home....match thread.. on 19:01 - Oct 23 with 283 viewsJQPR1

Surprised at the negativity (re predictions). I think it’ll be close and wouldn’t be surprised to see a 1-0 / 2-1 win to us. We’ve got key players out but equally lots of options in attacking areas still; all wingers / AMs potentially in contention - plus Kolli / Kone / Obikwu / Lloyd who all are there to prove a point.

Be solid at the back - which we’ve been every game bar last weekend (and I’m sure that’ll be a focus area for the team as a result) - and there’s every chance we can get three points!
