Ref having the night off. Getting a bit testy.

Which Forest player does Adam Szalai most resemble, John Robertson or Andy Reid?

Comms said everyone in the ground had to show proof of vaccine

Good news for the trip out there with England in September

In that situation what exactly was the linesman waiting for?

Hungary have collapsed since that disallowed goal. 3-0 flatters Portugal though.

I went there in 1991.I flew with Malev airlines and there was ice on the inside of the Windows.I stayed in a b&b about 5 miles outside of the city centre.Plenty of salami on the menu.
Great city though.

Watching yesterday’s games, England would do well to avoid France and I’d probably prefer to see us play Germany ahead of Portugal in the second round if we top our group.

Interesting comment on the ref, watching the games so far it looks like they've been told to ignore the play acting and let 50/50s play on. No bad thing.

The ref trying to pull the French lad to his feet wasn't something you see every day.

Yes thought that myself.

Most games, refs are seemingly giving the defenders the benefit of the doubt.

Of course we're not going to agree with every decision and the players ALWAYS moan about every one against them, but I've been quite impressed so far with the refereeing.

Ridiculous comment from Ally McCoist last night though - it was the ref's 1st major tournament game and he said he had done well considering it was his "first big game"

Yep he 's got there without refereeing no other 'big' games whatsoever!

Offside seems to be called very late though, expecially the disallowed
Mbappe goal (correct decision).

I like the way VAR is being operated at the Euros. Much less frequent than we see in the Premiership and only seems to change a decision if it’s a clear and obvious error.

Same with the 2018 world cup, its not necessarily VAR that's the issue but more the fact that English officials are hopeless at using it

That's VAR for you.

You can't correct an incorrectly raised flag, so they don't, even for the most obvious ones.

I totally agree.

The major problem with VAR in this country is how our refereeing company (Pinner can give you their title) operate.

I've also been reasonably impressed with the officials, apart from Mr. Taylor. To be fair, he was excellant for the most important moment & decision of his career.
