Had look on one of their forums and can't see their is one that is excited by Beale s appointment.
A few certainly mention the loyalty and integrity comments and others are against his comments stating if he and Gerrard had stayed they would have won the league that season and several mention the visit whilst Van Bronkhurst still in charge. And lot think better options out there.
Their fans are peed with the players not performing and it seems the Beale spin had the owners believing Beale could get a tune out of lot players already known to him.
I personally not like Beale and doubt his ability also but he has secured a three and a half year deal and clearly its an offer not to be sniffed at.
He does tend to waffle himself into a corner but I would say anyone who is new to a job and gets a three and half year contract which is a guaranteed payout whether he lasts the job or not, not one of us would turn it down.
I think he is also insecure about his abilities to do the job so the money side of it secures his families livelihoods which can understand
But yes safe to say Glasgow fans not greatly enamoured
If I was a rangers fan I'd be disappointed. Would you really want the man representing your club to be a clear bare faced liar? I wouldn't, very glad he's out the front door.

He’ll get found out. He’s created this mythical image of himself as this wonder coach. I don’t think he’s anywhere near as good as he would have you believe. We’ve been found out since Luton and he had no answers. Deep down he probably knows he needs to take these jobs before people realise.
Should have kept Warburton or passed it on to Eustace.

Given how ridiculously the Old Firm fans lose their mind when one of their managers departs for the Premier League, why would you be at all excited about taking on not only somebody who's just done and said what he's done and said to us, but also somebody who has already walked out on them once less than a year ago?

They've just sacked a bloke who was a club legend as a player and as a manager got them to a europa league final, gone within a year. Beale is going to have to do something special to stay in charge that long imo
It's also not the pathway to the prem that he seems to think it is. Worked for Rogers but he'd done several years in England before and managed Liverpool so was well estahblished. Gerrard was a brilliant footballer so was always going to get a chance, can't think of many others where that door is open. The current Celtic manager doing a very good job, not a chance he'll get a premier league job imo. Warburton ended up with us after his did pretty well at Rangers. Neil Lennon ended up at Bolton after winning the league multiple times.

Postecoglu is a terrific coach Dave, I reckon he could give the Prem a good shake. The A League isn’t great for sure but his Brisbane Roar side played some lovely football as did Melbourne Victory occasionally. Personally I think it’s crazy that Graham Arnold is the Socceroo’s coach now.

This, and he's only just started at Celtic who will only improve. 4 of their players are into the last 16 at the world cup with different countries. Lean times for Rangers who aside from one great season during lockdown have done nothing since the real club died ten years ago.

Well Warburton ended up at Forest and then us after Rangers, no PL top jobs for him.
In fact I can't think of any SPL managers in recent years who have gone straight to a PL job - whether coming from the Old Firm or another club.

Not knocking him I just don't think a Premier League side in the top half would make a move for him, might get a Southampton or a Brentford type job and then move up but you'd have as much chance of that doing well in the championship.

Good luck Micky!
The only other one I can think of is Martin O'Neil going from Celtict to Villa in 2005, but then he'd managed in the Premier League before as well.
From a quick scan of Wikipedia it looks like the last Rangers manager before Gerrard to go from Ibrox into their first top-flight job in English football was Graeme Souness in 1991. If Beale thinks he's going to emulate those two then he has his work cut out for him.

He;s also turned down Wolves - which I wonder if is a case of others may look and think - "you know what" maybe he doesn't quite back himself as much", and throw in the QPR loyalty thing they might think - "no not for us"
ON this basis his rejection of Wolves may hit harder than the QPR loyalty thing but it will be remembered, little loyalty in the game but when your the employer....
Gerrard got his chance but it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here too.

Belguim job opened up maybe Beale wants a chance to work with KDB and resurect the lost career of Edin Hazard who he probably discovered at Chelsea .Its another step towards the England job he dreams about . Like another poster said " its all about us looking forward now lets forget this wa*ker "

It would be interesting to know the real reason he turned down Wolves, as the one given is now exposed as complete BS.
I suspect he knew GR would be calling some time soon.

He's taken over from the bloke who invented the synthesizer as my number one hate figure.
That made me giggle, Colin. Anyway, funnily enough, the Moog Synthesizer was invented by a chap called............................................Moog.

A big factor for Beale-end going back up there was "family" and also knowing the club inside out and loves the place.
My feeling on this are -- you're saying you can't settle anywhere else but Scotland (specifically Glasgow) just 5 minutes after saying you want to manage in Europe etc. So if this new reason is true you've basically got Rangers or Celtic to fufill your dreams and ambitions - fail at Rangers and I might be wrong but not sure Celtic will be an option for you?!?!
He knows the club inside out and loves it. Loved it so much he walked away from it when the Prem came calling for an assistants job. Why didn't you offer to stay and take over when Stevie G was jumping ship?
The more I think about this the more I feel this could blow up in Micky Boy's Moley face. Shame.
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
