| Cricket 09:47 - Nov 22 with 5919 views | stowmarketrange | I haven’t been watching the ODI series between England and Australia being played this week, but I see that due to the DLS method we have to score 9 more runs than Australia did in their 48 overs. Not that there’s much chance of us getting their original score, let alone the extra runs needed to win,but it does seem a bit unfair to me.I can understand it being swayed by a run chase with only 10 or 20 overs, but they’re only losing 2 overs. Is there a better way of setting a fairer run chase than the present system? | | | | |

There is too much cricket for them to play unfortunately mate. The T20 World Cup followed by these 3 odi’s,a tour of Pakistan,a ODI tour to South Africa and then a test tour to New Zealand. Something has to give I’m afraid.
| Cricket on 10:13 - Nov 22 with 3880 views | Rangersw12 | Doesn't look like anyone is watching this series in the stands either Although Aussie crowds were poor during the WC so maybe they just don't like the team atm | | | |
| Cricket on 10:46 - Nov 22 with 3842 views | DWQPR | The England team have a 6am flight out of Oz tomorrow morning so they ain’t going to get much sleep so be way of getting an extra hour is to get bowled out cheap. It seems that the authorities and the players are prostituting themselves to get as much money as possible. Players are complaining about the schedules but then happily to fly round the world to the different T20 franchises. | |

That is when they make money for themselves instead of their cricket boards.

Livingston has just pulled out of the Big Bash due the too much cricket. I think you will more and more players opting out of substandard comps and only focusing on the IPL

Well considering they’ve all had the sh1ts they haven’t done too badly on it! 506 for 4 on the first day is just mental, even more so when you realise they only had 75 overs because of losing the last hour through bad light!
| Cricket on 12:04 - Dec 1 with 3221 views | ManinBlack | Bad luck on England. I think the record is somewhere around 509 on the first day so the early finish stopped them easily beating that total. | | | |

I believe from what the commentators said that it was a record for the first day of a Testbut the early finish stopped them passing 509 which was the record for any day.
| Cricket on 13:18 - Dec 1 with 3099 views | stowmarketrange | We beat the previous best by an England team in one day that was set over 100 years ago.I bet they had more than 75 in a day back then? Fantastic batting from all the England team today, but with potentially 75 overs missing over the 5 days it’s hard to see any other result than a draw. [Post edited 1 Dec 2022 13:34]

I read England once scored 588 in a day against India in the 1930s, but probably off 120-odd overs.

what an incredible match. 9 down now, 45mins play left probably

| Cricket on 11:44 - Dec 5 with 2590 views | CamberleyR | England win! Must admit at tea it was looking in the balance but those two wickets straight after the break of the batsmen that were in at tea turned the game. Most runs scored in a five day test match apparently. | |
