I am generally the least superstitious / spiritual / religious person i know. a complete physicalist in every sense...
BUT, six weeks ago, i wore the current QPR keeper home kit in goal for a 5 a side match and i was absolutely unbelievable. Rolling back the years. and i then wore it the following week and i was nearly as good again. So i've worn it every week since, and i'm in some of the best form in recent memory.
i've got a game on Monday for a different team where i have to wear a different kit, and i'm genuinely nervous
To ward off political threads on LFW and the chigwell mother in law from my front door , The only superstition i have is laying naked in a pentangle of coarse salts with Tannis root extract up me arsehole and gorging on a beating wolfs heart while solving the Lemarchand Lament Configuration.
Alas my superstition doesn't seem to work as far as LFW and the Old bag from the east, but the above practice has opened Abaddon's gates to perpetual Torment and thus i've had many thought provoking discussions with the Goetic Demon King Paimon, The Cenobite Pinhead and Owen Jones.
edit. I don't walk on manhole covers.

Where there's a will - and there is a will - there's a way - and there is a way.
As with the OP I'm not typing it either. It don't like seeing it.
Weirdly, I'm not at all religious or superstitious but yeah miss me with that.

In 2017 when I lived in Plaistow I fell down a manhole cover walking to Newham leisure centre, got £1200 off the council for my cut and bruised leg, bloody thing gave way and I ended up to waist in pavement!
I think I’ve mentioned it on here before but I’ve got this weird thing about putting newly washed plates at the bottom of the pile when being put away in the cupboard. Same for the cutlery draw, newly washed spoons and knives must be put away underneath the ones already resident. For some reason the rule doesn’t apply to forks, it’s anarchy in there and I imagine there are a few festering at the bottom that haven’t seen daylight in years!
I’m not religious either but having been terrified by The Omen at quite a young age the mere mention of that number still makes the wife stand up on my arm.
I passed my driving test I got the keys to first home i had a mortgage on.
Also, consequently on the few occasions i buy a lottery scrstch card, i choose the ones in the number 13 slot My thinking on that, if they have the jackpot and they dobt want it won often, its placed in number 13 as a clever strategy. I have not won the jackpot but seem to win a lot of small prizes on regular basis.
13 is rarely seen in most team squads but its a lucky number for me.
What I find very interesting is that carbon, the element responsible for all organic matter (i.e. life), has six protons, six neutrons, and six electrons. Perhaps the fact that this significant number appears in the Book of Revelation means it has been (deliberately?) misinterpreted all along.... Perhaps it is actually a positive, life-affirming number?
In regard to superstition in general, I suffered from it in the past, but eventually saw it as a kind of low-grade OCD - in other words, it was a faulty psychological safety-mechanism. After a few scary attempts to do things I 'shouldn't', such as walking under ladders (obviously checking no one was actually working overhead), I found that the world was still happily flowing along regardless, and they subsequently diminished.
