Just heard a news report which said that Andy Burnham will get 'the keys to Number 10'.

Do you think the Prime Ministers actually get the front door keys? Do they change the locks so the last one can't sneak back in?

There are no locks that require keys on the front door to No 10. It can only be unlocked from the inside.

Plus the accomodation is bigger in no. 11. Burnham has a large family so i suspect he may swap like Blair and Brown did.

Delivered to number ten on numerous occasions when I lived in London and worked for sainsburies, did one trip during lockdown with a full van full of booze, over 100 totes.
After going through security and being let inThey wouldn’t answer when I banged on the big oak door at the side, policeman told me to go and knock on the front door, I thought he was joking, he wasn’t!
Private secretary answered and sent someone to open it all while sky news etc were doing a report at the time.
Had loads of tourists take my photo as I drove out as well!

Haha... I was literally gonna ask if Deliveroo go there. If Sainsburys deliver, than I guess the answer is yes. You cant beat a KFC on a Friday night. If Burnham is in then then I guess its gravy and chips.. for a bit of scram.

In 1978 I wrote to the Times to express how worried I was about the calibre
of people going through college and university, given they would one day likely to govern us. They didn't publish my letter.
