Thanks Clive. Even if it's too early it's good to have you back. As highlighted by you, Mick Beale and others, I think our biggest problem is 'sloppy finishing'. Game should have been done and dusted in an hour.

The second string are making individual errors but I think if the odd one slots in as a replacement they should do better with the first choice players. No Seny, Willock, Amos, Bettache or Duke McKenna and we should have one or two loans to come to strengthen the squad further. Roberts looks capable of deputising for Willock in the short term.

It's a tough start and we will need to grind out some points from somewhere to avoid the usual 'crisis' talk.

I need to to find out a bit more about what is going on at Crawley Town with crypto currency or whatever. Having worked at LGW for a few years, I was also a bit surprised by your description of Crawley. Seems like I missed the best bit. They could, however, be a front runner in league 2 this season.

The description of Crawley may have been rather thick with sarcasm.

Thanks Clive,

Nice balance between the serious bits and the frivolous - perfect for pre season!

It is definitely not winning any culture town of the year awards is old Crawley - only ten miles away from us but only ever pop by for the odd footy game as I do like the ground. Always amazed at how poorly designed it is as a town - not looked into the history of how it came to be but its simultaneously a nightmare for traffic, cyclists and pedestrians!

Enjoyed that, Clive.

Thanks man.

Watching Thomas in this game made me think he must have some weird condition. In every game he's played for us his brain turns to jelly when he's in front of goal.

Felt sorry for Walsh too. A great chance to impress everyone but touches the ball 5 times without having to make a save.

I was at a gig in Nutfield where there was a big fight between the crawley and the horley skins, because one bloke used to be a crawley skin but was now a horley skin. I sat on the side lines and laughed.

There once was a skinhead from Crawley
Who defected to nearby Horley
Partial to Stella from a can
He began to expand
And now he’s the size of Robert Morley

It's bad enough losing a skin
But that Horley mob taking him in
Is taking the P*ss
They're paying for this
So let the blood-letting begin

Might be time to revive the old 'jigsaw' nickname for Thomas, as he goes to pieces in the box.
