Critchley on today's defeat 23:10 - Jan 28 with 2311 viewsbosh67

Maybe we should be giving him the players that he deserves rather than the players he's got. You have to question the mentality big time now and I am not sure it is all down the manager. There is clearly a major mentality issue that dates back well before Critchley arrived.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

I really feel for the poor bastard. You can see he’s being hung out to dry.

What a shit show. Les should be out front saying it’s not acceptable and calling out the players who are not putting a shift in. The board should drag Les and his cronies in and ask are they up to implementing a cohesive and professional solution in the academy and signings and ask why we’ve gone backwards in the 8 years they’ve been in the job.

The board need to spell out what they expect in return for keeping this club afloat and if Les and Co don’t have the ability to carry that out then they should fck off out the club forthwith.

Thought I'd given up.

Dont think many of the players are not putting in a shift, some maybe trying too hard or just not fit for purpose.

Picking Tim game after game seems odd and I dont think him playing helps us.

Terminate his loan Im sure hell go elsewhere and tear it up. Tyler Roberts gives me the impresion that he's above it all.

Ilias, the harder he tries the worse he gets.

captains fantastic

I do like the cut of his jib.

He’s a football man and knows his stuff inmo. I hope it works out for him especially after reading some of the opinionated crap I’ve seen on this message board today.

It’s like Arsenal tv on here, sell, buy, sack all with someone else’s money and not theirs.

Les, Hoos and Co. are THE problem. About time people opened their eyes. Our absentee owners have stuck this lot in charge and look how they’ve performed….season after season it’s been a complete shitshow. Yet, they are all still here earning a great wage and safe in the knowledge their lucrative jobs are bullet proof. Where else would this be tolerated?

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for the guy

Critchley goes on abt mentality and blah blah blah

So what does he do in the second half? He brings on dozzell over johannaen?

If mentality is so important, and it’s not a question of tactics as he says, then how can you justify leaving our most experienced, mentally strong player who is a leader and captained his national team on the bench and bringing on Andre dozzell instead?

If mentality is so important then why is Tyler roberts playing?

Don’t say one thing and then put together a team that doesn’t reflect that

He’s a clown

Stefan Johansen had played 60 minutes in a B team game during the week, after coming back from a serious long-term injury. The fact he was on the bench shows you that the manager knows his importance to the squad, as he has repeatedly stated, but judging on relative fitness felt that Dozzell was a better bet than Johansen at this stage. That Dozzell didn't tear up any trees is not the manager's fault, and also isn't the reason we lost the game. The "he's a clown" line is a knee-jerk reaction and a pointles cheap shot.

I would terminate Tim’s loan if we can, and it frees up space for one of our own to play more, or it helps bring in a permanent one.

I think their is a decent player in Tim but for whatever reason, maybe mourning Beale’s exit, he is really struggling.

Roberts has been a huge failure and another player dealing with stuff after not making the Wales WC squad. Such a shame we can’t terminate his deal because he must be on marquee player wages.

He has a huge problem because he had lost the dressing room before he walked into the building.
Not his fault in anyway.
But this group of players have been sulking since October and would have been sulking no matter who came in. He knows it, but can’t stop it . Dressing room full of loans who wanted to play for the last guy, add Balogun (where is he since Beale had gone ) and Clarke-Salter (plays 2 games, injured for 10) to that list. I’m addition add the regular squad players who a) feel let down by previous manager and b) know there are players in the dressing room who don’t want to be there . And lastly that there are people in around the squad that are clearly not good enough . What was the Shidipo nonsense all about ? Thomas starting against Burnley?
Add Hamalainen and Kakay and Masterson and these are a terrible back up
Bunch .

What the hell do you do with that lot??

I wonder if that liar Beale sold NC a pup?

Typical over reactions and nonsense from posters that know nothing about players fitness & ability, etc etc etc. Players are monitored during the match so the coaching staff will analyse info and they will know exactly the work rate of all of the players. They will also watch video's of the game many times during the coming week and highlight issues to the players from what has been learnt from the match.

NC and the coaching staff can see the issues that we have and it is just more time in the training environment to get it sorted. I have no issues on what he said about today's performance.

SJ played 60 mins in a B team match…. If he’s able to do that in a meaningless match, he was clearly available to play 45 mins ystd. SJ came out and even said he’s able to play, and he actually came on for the last 20 minutes. The undeniable fact is that Critchley made a decision to play dozzell over SJ.

Mentality is important eh? Then why is Niko on the bench? Why waste a bench spot on a left back who we didn’t even bring on when our starting left back got injured? Why reward him with a spot on the bench when you could’ve rewarded a youth team player like Aaron drewe or joe gibbons?

These little gestures are important and breed culture and mentality. Giving a player who is on his way out on loan a spot over a hungry youngster tells you everything

If mentality is important, aren’t you better off with willock over roberts?

Critchley is a clown bc he says one thing and does something else

We are all supposed to be QPR fans here and supporting the club and all it's parts.

You don't know the reasons for Critchley' decisions. SJ may be a better player than AD but he isn't as mobile, so maybe he had thoughts along those lines. You also don't know how SJ was feeling after his comeback 60 mins. The intensity of a Championship match is far more than a B team fixture. If we had lost another defender yesterday, then Nico would have been needed. At least Nico has a fair bit of first team experience unlike Gubbins and Drewe.

No manager is going to make decisions that please everyone. If he had brought on Nico there would have been some complaining at that. If he had brought on SJ and he broke down after 35/40 mins many would have moaned at taking that risk.
