Much debate, many differing views. I, 100%, believe that we lost against a decent Boro side because of team selection or team selection did not help us one bit. I note that may not be many other views however........

I need to think about that but I will post my team and it will be playing the bast players providing they are fit. By that I mean any player that is not carrying an injury and not a player who is being protected from injury like was done with Chair. If any player starts to struggle fitness wise during the game I would then replace the player. And if we are winning comfortably I would play all 5 subs but not introducing them all at once. Likewise if we are not winning (& I expect to win at Charlton) I would make changes and replace players who were not playing to the required standard.

I think you may well be 90% right, although I’m not sure Madsen will start so I’m guessing we will see Varane with Kamara and then Madsen after 60mins, plus JCS so Edwards can join midfield.
Good job Edwards is pretty flexible, he’s earning his fee currently.
Crucially, we will keep them on their toes if we can press again with Burrell, Smyth and Lloyd which should release some defensive pressure.

Yeah and we had ricketts... and woodbine were a shilling a packet and you go out get p!ssed have a fish supper and change from 10 Bob.. . They also use to kick lumps out of each other.. and play on ploughed fields for pitches
Alas those days are gone... and the modern players are all whimps...and injured.. hamstrings .. should be able to run that off like theyvwould in the old days
Never did the old uns any harm ... a quick pain killing injection and you are good to go...never mind you can't walk or have a knee worth a dam at 50 ...

Because we have more squad depth now, and I don't know anything really about Charlton this season, I haven't got a clue who he should pick.
I'd agree with going with our strongest 11 for this one (excluding anyone carrying a knock). That would normally include, for me, Poku and Vale on the pitch - despite their inconsistencies I think they both offer a lot and we need to stick with them.
Kamara should start, not sure about Madsen's fitness. If JCS isn't injured get him in there, maybe continue with Edwards in midfield.
Up front, he played 2 up against Cardiff but talked afterwards about seeing something in Cardiff's game that he felt that selection would exploit. No idea if he sees that with Charlton. So either Saito in the Chair role (though I'm not completely convinced) or Burrell and Lloyd.
