Orange & Lemon aftertaste they're saying.
I'll be back on the Pride and HSB fairly sharpish, I'd say.

I tried this at the cricket a month or so back. It’s cooking lager. Certainly not as good as Frontier from them, and that’s pretty middle of the road. Not a patch on the decent craft lagers. Don’t expect much.

Not tried it, I remember when Youngs used to do London Lager, had many a pint in the Crickters in Mitcham in the 90s.

I'd imagine if I tried it now it would be very questionable.

Question for the connoisseurs on here…
Bitter Shandy, are there any bitters left that compliment the lemonade in a bitter shandy?

After a round of golf, a pint of bitter shandy should be compulsory. Just one mind, the first quenches the thirst, another one more likely to make you feel sick, move onto a pint of your choice.

Half the golf clubs don’t even carry draft bitter, and of those that do they don’t do the job.

Nearest to decent is doom bar, but I’m struggling otherwise.

I agree. Took kids to his farm shop couple of years back, their idea not mine, picked up a few bottles and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I’m not easily pleased and definitely not into buying something that’s popular or celebrity endorsed. Good to see it’s becoming more widespread on tap too. Waitrose my go to for bottles.

I've not tried this, but an English lager I do recommend is Adnams Dry Hopped. It fits very nicely in their repertoire.

I quite like Adnams Blanche in tins. A “Belgian White” style beer.
Couldn't drink it all the time but the odd one in between other heers is nice.

I popped into the Express Tavern yesterday and had a couple of pints of Wimbledon Kaiser Vienna lager. A cask lager minus the cold and fizzy bit and pretty good.

I've always liked the Express. Black Dog up the road is very good too. A few people I know rave about the Brook next to the old Griffin Park site. Quite pricey from what I've heard and a craft beer pub and closed more than it's open.
