THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT 09:48 - Mar 14 with 13772 views | pomanjou | are possibly beginning to show even if there is still some lingering inconsistency in results. Whats indisputable (or maybe on LFW they are) is the overall improvement in team performance and the overall improvement in almost all individual player performances. Are there any players who are not now putting in a full shift for the whole time they are on the field? No. Who has improved almost beyond recognition -Hoilett, Perch, Henry, Chery and Polter IMO. All players have improved to some degree. We haven't seen enough of Washington to form a judgement and I am a tad disappointed in Phillips but he has produced the goods in terms of goals and assists. These things are down to team management and coaching. Would it be fair to say that Fernandes finally 'got it' in terms of putting a senior team together at director level who in turn have appointed a top twenty manager AND HIS TEAM on the way up, as opposed to a Arry boy patch it up looking for an easy finale to football management. Discuss.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 10:01 - Mar 14 with 11186 views | robith | My dad and I were thinking of jacking in our season tickets. It's a lot of money, my rugby club wants me to get more involved etc etc But now, we're both signed up. JFH is building something, and we're keen to see where it is going
THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 10:20 - Mar 14 with 11143 views | simmo | 1) Put people in place that know what they're doing 2) Give those people clear mandates on what is expected of them and what they should prioritise 3) Leave them the fck to it and don't be drawn into short termism Lee Hoos is a specialist in operating a club within it's means and doing good business in strict budgets, Les Ferdinand, as sick as the rest of us that we were paying big money for reputations instead of the old school way of giving hungry players their opportunity to play and move up, is doing well to identify and supply players that are good but can get a lot better & JFH is young, ambitious and has a clear identity when it comes to playing style. All 3 should be left alone and supported for as long as it takes.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 10:52 - Mar 14 with 11071 views | adhoc_qpr | Certainly looking like we are making strides forward. There have deffo been hiccups along the way, but it's never going to be a relentlessly upward curve. If we can finish the season strongly, with a settled lineup of players who are mostly going to be here next year and a defined way of playing - IMO we'll have done what we've needed to this season. With the last of the high earners out and a few key signings in the right positions (right back, centre mid, striker) we should be in decent shape next season.

Just renewed our 2 STs. Didn't realise you only to pay £50 deposit at this stage and then the balance by end of June. Seems fair enough to me.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 14:30 - Mar 14 with 10778 views | Antti_Heinola | Neither getting carried away, nor have many negative thoughts. Everything I've read on JFH makes me think he is the man for us. Even something as simple as bringing in the Dutch coach speaks volumes - good managers are not afraid to bring in people more experienced than themselves. Changing this club, as we've said countless times, is not a short term job. It will take years and years. We'll only truly know if things for the club are looking better after 4 or 5 years. But we do seem to be on the right path, finally.

We do look less of a rabble than earlier in the season it's true, but the MK Dons and Fulham games tell us a banana skin is only ever a game away.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 17:05 - Mar 14 with 10536 views | qprphil | A couple of good results gets us all feeling positive. A couple of good results gets the players feeling positive. What we need is a manager who has the charisma to let the players no how good they are. Good man management skills are paramount, maybe we have the right person in charge, time will tell.

possibly, although I doubt it. It was a huge undertaking at the start of the season - and, anyway, a season in mid-table might be the best thing that happened to us in years.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 19:13 - Mar 14 with 10353 views | bosh67 | There are some areas that I feel JFH is raw in but what he has done is instil a bit of belief in the players. He has got them fitter. Not as fit as they can be but fitter. He has taken on board the QPR home ethos of attacking the opposition, slowly but surely. The club seems to have a far better handle on instructing players how to relate to fans via social media. I think he will make a lot of improvements when the season closes. He will bring in more players he likes at a price that suits, or who are simply hungry, like Hall etc were.

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 23:05 - Mar 14 with 10178 views | chris1969 | Great current set up and feel Les Ferdinand does not get the credit he deserves. Big concern the Football league are still going to have a big say in fines, embargoes and our future. With the current set up it's looking really positive and I think the club seem to be really doing things the right way. Not sure how many more seasons the board can write off which is my main concern.

JFH wasn't available then. In fact there wasn't many decent managers who was or even wanted the job. Lets not forget Ramsey helped get Luongo and Hall amongst others here,so he's played his part in getting things turned around which is all that was asked of him originally. Its all part of Ferdinand's masterplan..

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 10:18 - Mar 15 with 9900 views | pomanjou | Glad that a few on here are at least tepidly positive and little outright negativity. I think I can get off the fence and say that I truly believe that we have turned the corner and are heading in the right direction. Fernandes has probably done enough dough in cold blood to last a lifetime Hoos and Ferdinand look like good appointments. JFH and his team are currently proving themselves to the supporters. There will be potholes and chicanes on the way but I do believe we can get promotion within the next 26 months and arrive back in the Premiership with a more solid base.

we did have a few options at the time PunteR infact we had the whole of the summer to get the right appointment Mark Warburton was available for one thing , and as far as I know we didn't even interview or approach anyone to turn us down as for Luango its JFH who is getting the best out of him, same as Hall and Polter who Ramsey thought wasn't even good enough for our bench anyway we now have a bloke who will get it right, who is a manager and knows hows to manage with a couple of smart additions in the summer we will be there or there abouts next season

I think JFH would have been sacked by Christmas if he took over last summer. The first half of the season trying to bring in new players and mix them with the crap left over was almost impossible and all that with Fernandes demanding promotion, Warnock calmed things down by ignoring the new players and going with experience which gained good results and JFH has tried to build more on what Ramsey was doing and is finally getting the results as well. It's really important for a new manager to win key games like Brentford at home to get credit in the bank for rainy days and the manner of the performance means that should put an end to the idiots calling for him to go for a while [Post edited 15 Mar 2016 11:09]

THE EFFECTS OF GOOD MANAGEMENT on 17:08 - Mar 15 with 9656 views | whittocksRs | In response to the OP, I largely agree, things seem to be moving in the right direction. However, one fundamental point I disagree on: Fernandes has 'got' nothing. He has already derailed our season once, by completely changing the parametres of what he wanted from Ramsey's QPR (whether you liked the manager or not, imagine your boss suddenly turning around and telling you to do the exact opposite of what he asked you to put in place five months before). The fact he has employed Ferdinand and Hoos are the most positive things he's done for a while (as he only wrote off the debt to make the club seem more attractive / stable to potential buyers and the FFP people, not as a favour to the club). He's absolutely the sort to decide that we need Kevin F*cking Nolan or Peter Crouch AT ALL COSTS over the summer and reduce Hasselbaink's good rebuild job to rubble. Hopefully he leaves the decision making to others.

I thought Warburton didn't want to work with Ferdinand as DoF? Luongo started really well but faded a bit when he was in and out of the team when the remit changed. Polter wasn't getting games as we had Austin plus JET who both played well, i thought. We wasn't short on goals anyway. Dropping Hall for Angella was a mistake but then it was a new team with only a few games into the season,so Ramsey was still experimenting. Everything was up in the air regarding players staying/going etc but it looks a much more settled side these days. For me Ramsey was never a long term option but he didn't do to bad in difficult circumstances,i don't think JFH would have done things much different at the time. I do think JFH will be a good manager for us. He is a better manager than Ramsey, i just don't think Ramsey was as bad as some make out. Me and you are never going to agree on this one Mr P. :)
