From TV I'd have to give it to Scowen. It was a remarkable shot. I'm not sure he'd have even have tried it if it wasn't the last minute of the match. It was a very relaxed "Why the f**k not" type of effort, I'm sure it happens in practice all the time.
I think it'd be a mistake to let Scowen go unless he wants silly money. We've talented trio of midfielders who will be gone in a couple of years. Someone has to mentor the new crop and fill in when necessary, Scowen's ideal for that role.

Completely agree about retaining Scowen, plays very effectively as a CAM away from home when we're defending a lead, can play as a CDM or in a midfield 4, offers flexibility and experience in Midfield similar to Cameron in Defence - went from hero to zero with some of our fans when the problems lay elsewhere.

It's close. Wallace is a left-back who struck a sweet volley with his weaker foot. However Scowen's technique in controlling a ball coming over his shoulder on the chest before nonchalantly rifling a rocket into the top bin from an acute angle edges it for me.

Noticeable he hardly celebrated. Are his bags packed? Terrific strike.
I think the lack of celebration was probably more to do with the ridciulous abuse he and his dad have had on twitter from the cowardly morons who think that's OK because he misplaced a pass or we let in a goal.
Scowen over Wallace but that means little when it's a 9/10 beating an 8.75/10.

Me too Mick. I'm normally in R Block but was front row of the upper loft yesterday which was a great vantage point for those.
