"Our average is 1.35 PG stays the same and 62points no chance of p/o" By that logic of "points per game" for all teams, the table stays exactly the same as it is now. If you based it on last 6 games, (2pts PG for us, lower for the others) then it could/would go right to the wire. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtab

| Playoffs? on 15:25 - Jun 8 with 1586 views | W7Ranger | The next round of fixtures are really interesting. From the teams in 6th down to us in 13th, 4 teams are playing in each other, another is playing Leeds. And the other 2 teams are away to teams fighting to stay up. We could easily make huge inroads after just 1 game! (prob get spanked 0-3 now!) | | | |
| Playoffs? on 16:04 - Jun 8 with 1547 views | kensalriser | Here's how it will go. We'll win the next two games and be three points off. Then a battling draw v Fulham will leave us still three points off thanks to other results. Even the most scathing will be clambering on board the epic play-off bus. Another draw at Boro increases the gap to five points. Sceptics rush for the door, but the gung-ho are still at promotion fever pitch and won't be dissuaded. We'll finish the season with a 1-3 win at already promoted WBA but it'll all be in vain after the loss at Wigan and failure to beat Wednesday, Luton and Millwall. QPR Barnsley Charlton QPR QPR Fulham Middlesborough QPR Wigan QPR QPR Sheffield Wednesday Luton Town QPR QPR Millwall West Bromwich QPR | |

| Playoffs? on 16:20 - Jun 8 with 1519 views | gazza1 | It depends how teams cope with the different atmosphere inside the ground plus how well they have been doing getting fit again. Win the first two games against very winnable opposition in Barnsley and Charlton and confidence will b e high. Fulham next and then we should have a much better idea....3 points would make us real contenders, a draw will keep us up there but a defeat ends the season basically. I'm looking forward to the first 3 fixtures, a lot of pressure despite playing in an empty stadium. | | | |
| Playoffs? on 16:45 - Jun 8 with 1468 views | joolsyp | I’m just looking forward to watching us play, even if it is behind closed doors! I can’t see 6th place happening - still think a top 10 finish would be a huge achievement and lays the groundwork for more improvement on and off the pitch next season. Keep Eze and Bright for one more season (unlikely I know) and we have a shot at the playoffs next season. Sell them for decent money (whatever that is post-COVID) and reinvest some of that money in the squad then I think 2022-3 will be our year! | | | |
| Playoffs? on 17:13 - Jun 8 with 1430 views | joe90 | Based on absolutely no meaningful insight/knowledge/information I think... We'll pick up a total of 11 points and finish 13th. Barnsley - W Charlton Athletic - W Fulham - D Middlesbrough - W Wigan Athletic - L Sheffield Wednesday - L Luton Town - D Millwall - L West Bromwich Albion - L The one thing that could work in our favour is other teams completely imploding, but I have feeling we could be in for some very turgid football. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If we collect 10 points from the first 4 games, I will be all over the play off bandwagon!! I’ll go. Barnsley - D Charlton - D Fulham - L Both - L Wigan - W Wed - W Luton - W Millwall - W WBA - L Total 14 points. 64 and 11th.
| Playoffs? on 17:34 - Jun 8 with 1386 views | slmrstid | I'll confess to being a horrendous pessimist and saying as long as we don't lose all 9 and get relegated I'll be happy In reality, I don't think we'd make the top 6, as nice as it would be, but I think if we can secure a top half finish that'd be great, top 10 even better. I don't think we've finished in the top half of the Championship since our last relegation? Bit Coventry-esque that so be nice to put that to bed. | | | |

That average 1.35 PG includes the last 6 games, it would be lower without, not a chance we would get 2.0 in the remaining 9 games, and as I said still unlikely to get in the p/o if we did.

If you're doing points per game over a season, then all teams will continue on that trend and stay in exactly the same position in the table that they currently sit. I'm going on the form of the last 6 games which shows we are 2nd in the table only to Leeds. And had we not had the suspension of the season, we would have very much been in the ascendancy with 2 winnable games in Barnsley and Charlton coming up. Whereas as Preston in 6th (3 losses in a row) and Bristol City in 7th (3 losses 2 draws) are/were very much in freefall and looked likely to be overtaken by any number of teams just below them. As I said earlier, even the next round of games will be interesting as I think pts will be dropped by those just above us. I just hope we can take of advantage of that and really put the pressure on. But hasn't home advantage basically disintegrated? I haven't done the research but was having a chat the other day with somebody who said it's really balanced the home v away advantage.

A stat I read someone said that including all behind closed door games, including most of the bundesliga results (not the last round), that results are almost exactly 33% each for home win, draw, away win. So, yes, one way or another, completely removed home advantage. The other big stat is the ball is in play a lot more. Can’t remember the % but it’s something silly like 20% more. Basically the better on the ball you are and fitter you are, the more it should suit you.

22% home wins in Bundesliga since the restart as opposed to 44% before, I read.

If there's ever a team to disprove the theory that you should win 33% of your away games BCD then it's QPR.

I'm probably alone, but I'm more confident about the Barnsley & Charlton games than I was in March! At that time we were due a defeat! Now, it is like the first game of the season & we have a rested Eze waiting to perform. He was in danger of being overused (I did want him to play every game though!). He can now play every game & still be fresh!

A lot of timewasting in games is playing up to the crowd imo and without a crowd they just get on with the game
