Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw waffling at each other about nothing for far too long, she ends up being terminally ill in the film and I'm sat there in the pictures thinking "oh get on with it and konk out I wanna go home" Bull shit and Top Gun wasn't much better either feel the need for speed my arse.

Had to take the kids to the cinema to see it so had no choice!! Horrid Henry was another one. [Post edited 14 Nov 2020 16:00]

| Shyte Films That You've Had The Misfortune To Witness. on 17:18 - Nov 14 with 1754 views | Antti_Heinola | I saw someone on twitter the other day said that Giuliani giving a press conference at the fours seasons landscaping place 'isn't funny'. And I just thought, 'it's obviously funny' - but it proves that humour is completely subjective. To me, Mrs Brown's Boys is bafflingly unfunny, but 8 million people find it hilarious, so clearly, it *is* funny. Same with taste in films - there's quite a few on this thread that I wouldn't say are brilliant, but I enjoyed. Love Story is quite lovely. Nightmare Before Christmas is great - superb animation, funny, great voice acting and a couple of belting songs. I like Eyes Wide Shut, and it only seems to get more interesting with age. Lost in Translation is a film I really enjoyed too. I love Harry Hill, his stand up is amazing, and TV Burp was the funniest thing on TV for years, but the film wasn't his finest hour. Still found some laughs in it though. But for worst films, Sex and the City 2 takes it by an absolute mile. Only just worse than the truly execrable Love Actually. But then some people love both! Love Actually's popularity is the most baffling thing in the history of film. At least even some die hard SATC fans despise SATC 2. The other night John Carpenter's They Live was on Film 4 - been wanting to watch that for a while to see what wrestler Roddy Piper was like in it. It's got a real cult following, but it was dreadful - but dreadful enough to be quite enjoyable. | |

Just cant watch his films.

Baz, me too, can’t remember the last film we saw together. Her mate has a cinema pass and as she’s registered disabled gets to take a “carer” with her so my misses gets to see a lot of films for free! Some she likes and would have paid to see some she admits are absolute pony!

Its remakes that grind my gears. The most extreme example is how and why the superb Taking of Pelham 123 (the peerless Walter Mattheu as Garber) was remade in 2009 with Denzel Washington and John Travolta in an improbable techy mess. Absolute stinker.

| Shyte Films That You've Had The Misfortune To Witness. on 20:39 - Nov 14 with 1538 views | HamptonR | The Godfather 3 is an abomination of a film but, thankfully does not destroy the legacy of 1 and 2. Lost in Translation is an awful film, the trailer for it is better than the whole film put together. Jaws 3 and 4..... enough said. Footloose was so bad, it was really good. For some reason they remade Footloose and the second attempt is absolutely shocking. | | | |

You missed Uma’s bazoomas then? Your loss. To be fair, about 6 of us went to Baron Munchausen, and I was the only one to stay to the end.

It amused me to see all the outrage recently about the sacrilege of the Ghostbusters remake, as I thought the original was complete poo. [Post edited 14 Nov 2020 21:26]
