Poll: Player of the Year (so far)

West Brom fans with nothing but positive things to say about him.

65kg central midfielder certainly sounds very Warbs, and questionable fitness record but seems like there's a player in there

Poll: And it's hi ho

Seems to be a recurring theme with our signings. Thomas, De Wijs and now Field.

I seem to recall we were interested in him in the summer.

Poll: Who’s better?

It’s a shame we could not have sent out bettache on loan

Looks like he could be decent squad player for the future but doubt he will get any game time with all the midfielders we’ve brought in

A LTC replacement for the season, but younger and good to look at him for 6 months.

Really feel positive about the players we’ve got in.

Thanks for this Brian. Mrs FB was lurking on the BBC and Sky sites and there was nothing before the deadline closed.

I’d forgotten all about LTC! Looks like Barbet is going to have a bit of competition with the Diags.

seem to remember a certain team in blue & white doing that about 1/2 dozen times last night, couple with the outside of the boot.

He's slightly damaged goods, like a bunch of our signings, but if they weren't they wouldn't be here. If 50% work, then it's a worth while exercise in order to add quality.

Nice to read about this after a genuinely uplifting away win.

Am guessing his injury record is what's allowed us to get hold of him. Anyone know what he's had, how long out, how long he's been back, those sort of grisly details?

Lets hope he does OK.

My slight qualm, is that after seeing WBA v Fulham, I find it hard to believe that any competent footballer can't get in their matchday squad!

ACL apparently but maybe not as bad as Amos as he didn't need an op but had a setback in October last year so not sure how much he's played since then (not at all in first team but not sure if he's played for u23s).

He played in eight of Charlton's last nine games when football resumed after lockdown and was an unused sub in the other. Has had a few sub appearances in the Premier League and played a couple of League Cup games this season. Hasn't made an appearance for West Brom since October.

Seems like he needs a few appearances of the bench and a gradual build up to match fitness. Just as well we can use five subs with him, Johansen, Charlie, De Wijs etc.

Seems like a quality player, lets hope it works out.

With Alladyce as manager I'd be amazed if anyone who can pass the ball would be in the West Brom matchday squad!

Oops you're right. I was looking at appearances for WBA.

What's the story with how many loan players you can have in a match day squad and is there a limit to how many you can have on the pitch at the same time?
