| Well on 18:04 - Jan 9 by karl | Agree Brian I enjoyed having a different view from the commentary team, I like London and Sinton but Sky are crap with their pre conceived views and almost a script where we are concerned. Bower and Ekoku were very fair in their assessment of both teams I thought |
I listened to London and Sinton. Glad the BBC were decent.

I don't think he's going to be a goalscorer for us Ted, I agree completely that we can't have him lead the line as the main source of goals, Bonne too isn't reliable enough and judging Kelman harshly on the basis of half a game of football he didn't have the composure either (he could of course be a very good player). Today has focused the mind that when good balls have gone in consistently we didn't have the guile to finish them off, I'm confident we'll sign a player for that role shortly. My view is that if we get someone in then Dykes did enough for me today to partner rhat player, especially if stamina is a potential problem for that player as Dykes will work hard for him Edit. I've always supported Dykes but equally I think I have said from day one he has never been a goalscorer or one a club relied on to get the goals for them [Post edited 9 Jan 2021 18:13]

I get less convinced by Dykes by the minute (I'm talking about hitting the back of the net) yes he has certain attributes but we can't simply can't wait any longer for him to 'come good' whatever that means, he must surely be able to score goals apart from penalties or else what is the point of the bloke? I want him badly to succeed, headers, tap ins anything but sadly he just doesn't look like scoring anytime soon.

I think Kelmans 2 opportunities were worse. Why he didn’t dive in I will never know. Also he only has to control the ball and he’s then through on goal.

The second one from Bonne was criminal to be that unaware of the time he had to take a touch.

Agree, he should and can score goals. Looked fairly capable in his early games but after the Scotland qualifiers his form and confidence has gone downhill dramatically and I was very concerned by how inept he looked for large parts of games all over the pitch. Today though I saw a good player linking up with teammates, working hard closing down defenders and coming deep to help defensively. All good but the miss has overshadowed all of that, it did take a little time to sit down but, as you said, he just needed to calm down as it was going to fall nicely for him if he had let the situation develop as a striker should, I do think in his first 4 or 5 games he'd have scored it. My hope is that if its true Charlie has signed that Dykes gets an opportunity to play with him and it brings him up a level too.

Oh yeah, I forgot he actually had 3 didn’t he. Yeah that one was poor but again needed good technique....and to be frank, I’m not overly sure they are technically great players. Kelman just needed to show determination to get on the end of the cross. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Well on 17:39 - Jan 9 by BklynRanger | Bit harsh - 3 missed sitters, 2 of them horrendous. But as a team I thought we were OK and competed well for the 90 anyway. |

If CA has signed I'll be delighted but I believe we will still need another goal scorer Christ knows where from though. Didn't expect too much today If I'm honest but we had opportunities to win the game in the first 90 minutes so I'm more pissed off than maybe I should be. We'll see about Dykes, we've become the paupers of West London football clubs at the moment and I hate it, f ucking hate it. Dear me I better log out

It was a tricky chance for dykes but you put your foot through that. If he had hit it straight to the keeper then thats irritating but fair enough, to shank it the way he did just seemed like a total lack of technique. Basically, it's exactly what I would have done if I was through on goal. That's not a compliment.

| Well on 17:50 - Jan 9 by paulparker | Ok I’m going to be positive ( shock horror) Barbet at left back was good Dickie got stronger as the game went on Carroll & chair decent BOS seem to be back to his best Bettache looked decent Ball ran his nuts off The keeper solid Other than that we will go down with Kane at right back and Bonne & dykes up top |
Agree, except praps 'BOS back to his best'. He did kind of OK, but is capable of a lot better than that. I thought we played well, created more chance than Fulham and could/should have won it with better finishing. We lost the plot when Chair and BOS went off, but I guess Warbs didn't want to wear them out ahead of the Luton game. Shame those two opportunities fell to Kelman so soon after he came on. But no disgrace losing to a Prem side - just a shame it had to be the Ruperts. Some good signs ahead of Luton - hope Kelman and Dykes start together (or Dykes and Austin if he signs).

Yeah agree with that. It’s really concerning that whether we are playing good or bad sides we lose the same way. As said previously, we have 4 players who you’d have playing for us if we were top of this league, but we have another 4 or 5 who are capable of seeing us out of trouble. Aside of that it’s a bare bones side and we’re a Carlisle type injury away from disaster. The manager has to be brutal, Nico, Bonne and Dykes should be on the bench and used as an absolute last resort. We need Charlie, a left back and possible another experienced forward and if we avoid major injuries we can get safe. It has come to something after six years of Les that we have the weakest bench in memory and a first team which has to carry two to three players a game.
| Well on 19:16 - Jan 9 with 473 views | ManinBlack | We certainly need a leader out there who can bark out orders and organise us. He doesn't need to harangue the officials but gee up his own team. We are going down with a whimper as it stands. | | | |
| Well on 19:20 - Jan 9 with 460 views | charmr | No that wasn’t great, anyone bigging that up must have had their expectations lowered. We’ve all been watching Rangers teams and players long enough to know that this current team are in trouble. [Post edited 9 Jan 2021 19:21]
