Looks promising. Also means we won't be signing McCallum, which we had no chance of signing anyway. Same we Sanderson which we probably didn't want anyway.
Also, from the highlights real to me it looks like, despite people saying Beale likes a back 4, we may well stick with our back 5 formation as Paal seems more of a wingback to me.
I would still re-contract Moses to play RB or cover LB should Paal get injured or not make it. As at the moment we only have Kakay at RB and that's not enough.
Whilst Moses has zero resale value, the fact he can cover LB saves us money from signing another one (assuming Niko does not come good). So, Moses saves us money from having a smaller squad as he can play both sides.
Then after this, we need a pacy right-winger to open up game and somehow magically another forward. Assuming we also keep Uncle.
So, that's Uncle, a RB+LB2 (Moses), RW and CF. Just four more players, plus the 2 we already have signed make 6 new signings contract-wise.
Seeing as we let 7 go out Austin, Ball, Barnes, Marshall, Westwood, Barbet, Wallace this means we are one down. This is good, we need to have a smaller squad and it also allows space for the youth to come through.
It is now time to decide what we want to do with: Masterson Owens Bettache Duke-McKenna Shodipo Alfa
I think it is time to sell: Thomas and Bonne for whatever we can get for them.
I’d also keep Moses: a class above Nico and Kakay and as you say a great option in the bench as he covers both wife defensive positions. No mention of him staying or leaving as far as I know?

I think that you may be right on the 3 CBs and if that is the case, I absolutely would stick with De Wijs if he gets through the pre-season. But I guess that MB's three of choice will be JSC - Dunne - Dickie probably with Masterson on the bench and De Wijs sold should Dusseldorf put in any sort of reasonable bid. A shame as I am a big fan although I do get the injury worries...
Or maybe he's confident in JCS as a left full back with KP in front of him - who knows.
If Albert really has signed an extension (gone very, very quiet there), maybe his days as a wing back are not yet done...
Two youthful signings to kick things off, as Clive says, both the latest manager's choices, more blood on its way you'd expect...
Thanks for sharing that, really informative (and a little odd with the thick Preston accent!)
I didn't realise that Hamer came from the same club but encouraging so many players successfully made the move from Zwolle. He also says he thinks Paal is better prepared for Championship football than Hamer was when he moved, which is particularly encouraging.
