If I was a young Rangers first-team player who'd been taken off for fitness reasons and I'd spent all this half looking at a 34-year old still bombing down the wing, fair to say that would give me some pause for thought.

Enjoyable game.
More structure to us in this game than on Saturday, I thought?
To be expected, if so, as pre-season enters another week.
We still came under pressure in the second half at the back once we changed midfield. Not surprising maybe as the three who went off - JoJo, Field and Dozzell - are all (to some extent or another) defensive-minded midfielders, and the trio of Duke-McKenna, Thomas and Owens are far more adventurous.

Not greatly impressed on that showing, his touch was pretty poor on a couple of occasions and although he is more physical han Nico and put a couple of decent crosses in, he didn't defend well.
Still, at least he didn't pull out of a challenge on the edge of the area letting the oppo get a shot off. Nico did. |  |

Agreed re Drewe. I was disappointed in his performance but happy to give him a bit of time.
As for Hamalainen; how he continues to get chance after chance, year after year, is beyond me. He's just not going to make it at this level. | | | |
