To be honest, in ferguson days I did totally.admire how well this club was run from the very top and their constant and continued success over two decades was something to be admired and revered.
Today they are a basket case of a club. Great start to their season, home defeat to the mighty seagulls.
But they just want dig that hole even more.
See they have bid for Marko Arnautovic but currently the bid has been rejected 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣.
City fans get Haaland.
It's been an abysmal decline. Please let this continue.
On darker days this strange phenomenon that is United gets sadder and sadder still.
My many many acquaintances around us in the heart of London and the home counties known as Cockney Reds, my heart bleeds.
Love it. Come on United. You have it in you to accelerate this comical decline.
Can we have you in a relegation battle. Perhaps you need bring back the Charlton brothers !!!!

It's funny how much 'respect' I get for being a QPR fan. People genuinely can't understand why I would support a 'shite' team, ' they are not even IN the Prem you know', when I could be following United (in Ferguson's time) or City or Liverpool. When I give my stock reply that 'it's all Stan Bowles fault', most of them unsurprisingly have no idea what I am talking about .
Spot on Myke. I get the same odd looks when I confess to being an R. Mostly from English people who can’t understand why an Irishman is not a Liverpool or Man Utd fan . In Ireland it’s worse. The attitude is why would you support a team who has no chance of winning anything! They just don’t get it.

I'd say living in Dublin it's Celtic first, then Liverpool, Utd followed by Leeds. The latter dying out as they are a much older generation. I'll say one thing for Utd fans here. They don't force their children to be Utd fans unlike pool fans. The Celtic thing is amongst the working class. Buying into see what the brits did to us. My two lads are Utd and Leicester fans. Damn you granddad.

On Manchester - Haaland?
Wow!
What a player, 5 year contract and £50M, sounds stupid but if he keeps that up, he is a bargain!
How fast is he as well - I say again - wow!
Watched him 3 weeks ago against Bayern Munich and he broke through with the ball and as he hit it a BM defender crashed down blocking the shot and sending Haaland and himself flying over the endline. The whole place shook ,I was stunned at the ferocity but Haaland just got up smiling and ran off. How many goals will he score against Forest,Fulham etc the sky is the limit if he stays healthy

Wow indeed - he's an absolute monster. £50M is a steal. I used to strongly dislike Citeh (and plenty of other teams), but these days it's more fun just to sit back and admire the sheer quality of football on display.

Man City could win the next 10 Premier League’s, and Man Utd would still be hated more.

Almost entirely Utd, not many QPR fans around in Belfast when I was growing up, but my best friend was, and still is West Brom..?!
I've always joked that if only my Dad had taken me to one side and had a little 'talk', 'now son, you know Stan Bowles isn't going to live forever - have you thought about choosing a proper club...'
My new BOWLES 10-printed away shirt arrived yesterday.

That £50m was "just" to trigger his release clause. Signing on fee, wages and bonuses could allegedly push that to over £300m.
He's some striker though and given the service he'll get in that setup could redefine what a world-class number 9 is. Championship-Mitrovic numbers wouldn't surprise me.

Ah, that makes more sense. It's a huge amount of money, but in the insane world of football these days, that's still probably a very wise investment.

M.City got EH "on the cheap" from Dortmund for the same reason Dortmund got him from Salzburg on the cheap (€20m). That is, with such an in-demand player, his agent can insist on a low release clause in whatever contract he signs.
And you can be sure he will have had something similar inserted in his contract with Man City, otherwise he wouldn't have agreed to join them.
Meaning that as/when he thinks of leaving the Etihad, he will have his pick of clubs to join. I suspect he will use City/Pep/the PL to improve him further, then see which Super Club he may want to join in another 3 or 4 years, when he'll just be approaching his peak.
In fact I suspect he may even have gone to one of the above this time, except that either (a ) they were skint (Barca, Juve, Milan); or (b ) didn't have a place for him right now (Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool) ; or (c ) they're just crap (Man Utd).
[I'm not sure why Bayern didn't swoop - maybe they thought they could keep Lewandowski?]

Two absolutely suicidal attempts to pass out from the back gifted Brentford the first two goals. Clueless by ManUre, The Bees had two players stationed high up the pitch to stop the passing out routine but they still tried it.
The ManUre set up was also risky to say the least, packed with attacking players, with Fred the only defensive minded midfielder. Bizarrely, Eriksen was stationed next to Fred in the second defensive midfield berth
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I find modern football bizarre like that. Kick it long and start again. You don't have to play out from the back every time.

What are the chances on them going down this season? They have Liverpool next.
What's funnier is, their games are all on TV for maximum effect.
If you were your average match going Man United fan (if there is such a thing), your first 3pm Saturday kick off of the season isn't until 5 November (Which will probably get moved as well). Supporting a souless club.
Man United and Everton to go down.

Shame about Eriksen going there. He seemed to be fitting in really well and enjoying it at your place but I suppose Man U were able to offer him exceedingly greater amounts of dosh.

But the fourth goal as good as anyone will score on the break this season. Yes, they were chasing the game but……..
Obviously doesn’t compare with our 1-4 at OT when they were ruling the world and now they are shite but I hoped you enjoyed that as you should. Everyone else did.

Charlie Austin said something similar last season about there's nothing wrong with leathering it 50 yards down the line every now and again for the strikers to have a 50/50 in the air.
I'd normally disagree but watching a half-dozen matches of Jeff Hendrick playing one-twos with the back 3 boiled my pìss to radioactive levels and changed my mind.

There isn't a club in the country that wouldn't have jeered a player who turned his back their club to join Man United.
