Leon’s tweet on 07:52 - Apr 4 by Northernr | I just think it's so typical of this group of players mate. He's fcked up. We all saw it, everybody who was there. He lost his head. This was no calm and considered attempt to discuss matters with fans, he was cupping his ear at people, he was aggressively pushing team mates away that were trying (very sensibly) to move him away. He behaved like a knob, after he'd cost us the game. Play well this Friday, get a result against Preston. That's the response. Just get on with doing your job. Instead, just like Tyler after his latest stubbed toe, just like Jimmy after the Fleetwood debacle, at first we get the 'official statement' on the Instagram, chock full of stuff that just isn't true. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I'm done with excuses, I want some action now, starting this Friday. Then we get the big PR play, a meeting with fans. I'm done with the PR plays as well - the Haka, the humble interviews, the meetings with fans. Just start doing your jobs, all of you. Now, I agree with you it might actually be a good thing for him to hear why people are pissd off with him because he, like Taylor Richards at the end of the Rotherham game, just cannot possibly comprehend why people might be a bit upset with HIM (yes, you Leon). I'd like to think whoever is going to this will actually give it to him a bit. What I suspect is he'll tell a big sob story about the mental torment he's been through with his five month calf strain, not being able to help the team, and people will come away thinking he's alright really and maybe they've been a bit harsh. Then, into the Easter weekend, two more sht results and the bottom three draws ever closer still. Do we think he wants to meet the fans to hear what they've got to say, or to lay yet another massive sob story out in front of them? It's like the opposite of a no excuses culture, this lot have got an excuse for everything. It's none of their faults. It's because Beale left. It's because Critchley was sht. It's because Les makes the wrong appointment. It's Ferdinand's fault. It's Hoos' fault. They hide behind all of this. It's the players who are crossing the white line each week and playing like absolute fcking tarts. Like I say he fcked up, in the game and at full time, he should now shut the fck up, get his ars back out on the pitch where we've desperately needed it for the last five months, and start performing at the level we know he and the rest of this team are capable of because we've seen it. That's it. That's the appropriate response. That's the only response. |
Brilliant mate , they should print that up and hang it in the dressing room.

Leon’s tweet on 09:16 - Apr 4 with 2223 views | R_from_afar | Your mate should take this with him and show it to Leon (taken from Bob's "Ouch" thread - thank you, Bob): This is why our fans are so upset. They spend significant sums of money and commit huge amounts of time to following Rangers but in what is actually half a season, the players have "achieved" utterly pathetic results: - 12 points from a possible 69 - Comfortably the fewest goals scored - Comfortably the most conceded. That's not a blip, it's half a season of abject, collective failure. It's so bad that football pundits and observers are going to be reminding people of this disintegration for years to come. I hope they list the players involved when they do. There is still time for Leon and the other players to turn this round but they should be made fully aware of the misery they have subjected us to since October. It's all there in that Tweet.

Leon’s tweet on 09:23 - Apr 4 with 2201 views | denhamhoop2 | WTF are the club thinking and even more so Balogun a player has been out with a "Muscle Strain" for 5 months then comes back and concedes a penalty a 15 year old on his debut in Mens Football would be embarrassed by and then has a row with the die hard away fans at the end of the game. Now to add to that someone has dreamt up a PR stunt which is not unlikely to end well because the best scenario that can happen is the angry die hard gets to vent his spleen at said player. Not sure too many of this current squad really enjoys looking in the mirror and seeing themselves warts and all

As well as Clive's post above, I think that tweet also should be blown up and printed off and hung on the dressing room wall. Those figures are truly pathetic, the more so when you know what they are capable of. Every one of them should look at it and hang their head in shame. Bar one or two of them, in my nigh on 50 years of support, I've never despised a group of QPR players more. [Post edited 4 Apr 2023 9:36]

Of course the best message the fans could send is by refusing to go. Tell them that we’ll do it once they’ve kept us up which is what the players should be focussed on now.

Yeh, the fans should arrange a time and place and then just not turn up like he did for 5 months.

Exactly! Tweet out a picture of them down the c&s when they should be at the training ground. You just couldn’t make this sht up!
Leon’s tweet on 10:42 - Apr 4 with 1689 views | ted_hendrix | Huge-huge game Friday, the whole mindset of the club should be concentrating on that and that alone. This nonsense goes way beyond embarrassing, how about using the training ground on Thursday to do some actual football training?

It seems to me that QPR needs a totally clean slate, maybe that comes along with relegation, maybe we'll end up as AFC QPR... but where we are is neither sustainable nor entertaining.

Gutted I didn’t get an offer to attend and actually say what I and a fair few others would like to say to him no star struck moments just total honesty . I broke my leg end of November and have missed less games than Leon and mind my hammy laird . I’d love to give them what it feels like to get up at stupid o’clock to travel to some far flung ground knowing the result well before we kicked off and have to pay for the day , fuel , tkt myself . Yeah Leon great idea to ask some fans to come and see you after you going MIA since daddy Beale fecked off

Not sure most of these players care if they were playing to an empty stadium mate, feels like they're going through the motions for the paycheck. There's no character or backbone that i can see. Not real men. No other club of any Champ stature will have most of them if we down though. And they're too dense to see that. Self-harming on the field of their childhood dreams.

Clearly he lost it when quite rightly his going over to thank the fans when they responded by way of criticism, totally fair enough, and what on earth did he expect. Five months out and then gives away ridiculous penalty. Not the way to become a fans favourite. He lost his composure totally and knowing some of the players here right now, could see potentially he could have taunted the fans with how much money he earns. Tweets it looks bad, maybe because it is. Dignified silence and a heartfelt apology would have been the appropriate response. Not an attempt to weasel out of the slime self created !!!

'Going through the motions' sounds like someone panning through dogshit looking for a lost gold ring. Something the fans can relate to, Leon.
