Northolt Primary then Northolt High.
Glad to get out of both. School was not my kind of thing at all.

St Josephs primary in Wealdstone - run by fcked-up, violent Irish nuns.
Then Salvatorian in Wealdstone - run by fcked-up, violent Irish priests.
I was a confirmed atheist by the age of 13.

St Swithun Wells - infants
St Raphaels - Northolt - Primary School
Salvatorian College - for 1 year before I moved back to Ireland.

Great times and my fondest football memories playing on both teams (along with Hayes End Wanderers at Barnhill). A number of Rs players (some first team but mostly youth) ended up coming from both schools during my time there (1988-94).

Chamberlayne Road Infant school, Kensal Rise
Harvist Road Juniors school, Kensal Rise
Salusbury Road Junior High School, Queens Park
Copland High school, Wembley

I think I’ve mentioned this before, David - my auntie and uncle had the first house on Kempe Road just past the school playground. I believe that quite a few houses were demolished to make space for the school and its expansion ( that’s what I remember being told)

The first place my Cypriot side of the family settled in London. Genuinely happy memories of the place.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Did you not get transferred to Greenwood for a nominal fee? A jar of tadpoles, if I remember?

Primary: Brevoort Park, Saskatoon, Canada
...followed by Howard Junior School, Kings Lynn

Secondary: King Edward VII, Kings Lynn

BTW we had a lad called Paul Kynaston in our class. I'd never heard of any other use of the surname until the OP posted his school (Quintin Kynaston).

Also attended Malorees Infants and Juniors. Mr. Singer was head. Left around 76 or 77 I think. Then Cardinal Manning in Ladbroke Grove, followed by several years of Old Boys football for them.

Would you have known John(the horse)Higgins at CM?

Nominal fee of course, which was a bag of Smiths crisps, curly wurly and marathon bar to sort out the shenanigans of the new comprehensive system in Ealing.

Jamboree bag was the going rate back then. Biggest let down ever. Can’t beat a jubbly on the way home.

Bucks County Council spent all of their money on the Grammar Schools, so I had the privilege of attending candidates for the worst schools in the county (I considered writing country)!

Primary - Durrants, Chesham
Secondary - Cestreham SM, Chesham

Durrants managed to get one pupil through the eleven plus every three years! This was prior to Comprehensive schools, not that Bucks changed it's policy. Keeping Grammar Schools & the eleven plus going, ignoring legislation.

Yep. Disgusting policy. I saw both sides of it. Failed my 12+, was transferred on appeal and went on to get the joint highest A levels at the grammar school, a first class honours degree and a PhD. I am not the only one to have proved the system wrong. The most professionally successful of all my school mates went to the secondary mod. And yet the cash goes to the selective schools and the overwhelmingly middle class kids who go there. Catastrophic nonsense.

Primary: St Thomas in Fulham. Literally backed onto the graveyard and church of the same name.

Secondary: London Oratory 1980-87 - seem to remember we had to pass an exam to get in and that fees had to be paid, but because Mum & Dad were poor Irish Catholics they were subsidized. Private school without being private? Real mix of posh kids from the leafy suburbs and kids from skint families who happened to go to the right church and had half a brain.

1972-1978 Fox hill Infants and junior school Bracknell,
1978-1983. Brakenhale comprehensive, we were so hard we didn’t have to wear a school uniform.

My 2 oldest went to Brakenhale. Had a bad reputation that school but its simmered down down as has the rest of Bracknell.
