MC has got to go 21:59 - Nov 5 with 58434 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

Sorry, but that has done it for me.

You don't put a right footed player, you don't trust, at left back, yet leave your left footed defender at right back.

Fcking stupid.

A shapeless, gutless performance. Players walking, not challenging, arguing with each other. No shape, no desire.

Something has to happen and fast as we have relegation written all over us.

***having had a good night's sleep, I don't want MC sacked, I just can't sit through this anymore. I actually hate this club at the moment.***

Marti played Santos at left back last night which is inexcusable. Granted, we have injuries but Saito did well there when he came on against Pompey.

Everyone could see what was happening on that side throughout the first half and he didn't change anything. Again, that's on him.

Just look at the first goal. It is extraordinary. We've got big problems and Marti is certainly not responsible for all of them but he's certainly not blameless.

He hooked him at half time, didn’t he? But the damage was done.

It was clear at 0-0. I’m in Pu so his roasting was appearing in front of us. A friend text to say “this has 0-0 written all over it” and I replied at the time “they’re going to score in a minute”…and they did. And then did again immediately. And then took their foot off the gas.

Santos is leagues, probably about 5 leagues, out of his depth.

How and why we signed him is a mystery to me.

And yet our Manager chose to play him there with Chair as cover, that decision on Cifuentes cost us that game.

Not many better options but Field on left side of Midfield or at LB or a different formation (4-5-1) would have been better.

Exactly. Should have realised his mistake after 20 minutes. I know it's bad form to hook a player that early but like you say, he's so far below the required level that it's crueller to leave him on. They were coming down that side time after time as they'd clearly realised he wasn't up to it.

The first goal looked bad in the stadium but it was actually a billion times worse. How is he playing left back at this level? Incredible.

And the likes of you just keep pushing your ITK agenda when in reality you haven’t got a clue what’s going on just like the rest of us. Keep banging the drum mate if it makes you feel better.

You love an attempted deflection from the topic Ned. As if it won’t be noticed.. But you still make zero sense. You’ve got all the hallmarks of either being Nourry himself or his mate from Retexo

Cifuentes is still the man for me but he's done shit business over the summer. I can't believe how shit we are. Like we've downgraded from Dykes. What the fk is that?!

With the right players he could take us to the promised land of 10th but with these hooped c*nts we're going down and staying down.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

In fairness, he was up against a top player in Doak who is super quick, got very little help from Chair and was watching their Midfield have all the time and space in the world to pick those passes.

More on the Manager than Santos that one.

It might have helped if someone had backed Santos up, maybe helped him a bit rather than just leaving him 1 on 1 all half against Doak

Cooks defending for that second goal was embarrassing as well, not sure what hes blaming the keeper for just clear the ball

How you go into a season with only one left back and end up with your options for that position a 3rd choice right back or a left winger is genuinely incredible

We need to know who 'owns' the strategy, but it is unlikely wecwill be told. Marti's 'Cruyff' aspiration is a worry. But I am more concerned that the pilot has only ever 'flown' in a simulator.

Nail on the head x 3,

First point predictable before the game, yet no gameplan and no onfield Leadership to see what we could all see and fix it.

Nourry. Logical next step. He's mastered CEO and DOF so manager for him. Maybe even player manager.

I think the word 'genius' is sometimes over used and frequently for the most inane of ideas. In your case, the word is simply inadequate to praise both you and the brilliance of your idea.

I'm not wearing a cap at the moment, but if I were, it would be dothed accordingly. You, Sir, are an effing genius!

I'd have swapped Dunne and Santos, both playing with at least their stronger foot. That was why I was so livid last night, it's just basic. As I said, either stupid or done to make a point.

But, fck me, no backup left back, squad swimming in wannabe 10s, passed on a central midfielder who wanted to join and deal 99% done, centre backs unable to play out, one that can does his usual disappearing act when the going gets tough.

A clusterfck of a season, with relegation now likely. Take a bow Hoos, Noury, Belk and MC, you managed the impossible, taking that absolute shocker of a team from last season and actually making them worse!

Doak, anyone Iin football knows is a flying machine and likes to take his mam on, on the outside,

A left footed player in that position was a must,

1st goal you could see Santos lose his balance when he tried to adjust his body weight, also couldn't tackle with his preferred right foot for fear of giving away a penalty,

Just really poor set up by MC, but bettered only by bringing Andersen to partner Madsen, ffs.

We seem to be up against decent wingers every week. No excuses, he is a well paid pro in the Championship. He's been torn to shreds in several games.

Agreed, to an extent.

His problem for the first goal was that he got himself squared up. Regardless of which foot he prefers that's ball burst game over.

He played him there Saturday too. Was you saying it was inexcusable then after a pretty good and dominant performance from Santos for 45 mins?

Watch teh 2nd goal too Brian. God knows where he was going to leave that huge space behind him.

He's a poor winger, masquerading as a right back and placed on the left hand side.

He came on as a replacement, and wasn't 1 on 1 against Ben Doak.

I'll add my tuppence worth by saying Cifuentes is making too many mistakes this season but this is not the time to change managers.

Last season he showed he could get wins by being less purist and more pragmatic. He needs to do that again to keep us in the Championship. There are signs he's trying to do just that.

Nevertheless, I am very worried about our prospects this season, and have been for some time.

Very little, yes. Very, very little.

I think he showed last season that he's a good manager, and now he's being asked to get a tune out of somebody else's idyll.

Going into the season with Celar and Frey as your strikers. Your only strikers. Okay, not ideal. Can I pick Kolli? No you cannot.

Spent the whole summer being told you have to shift Paal. Can't shift Paal. Wonder why Paal isn't that arsed at the start of the season. Paal injured. Where's our reserve left back? Oh, you've loaned him to fcking Dundee.

This central midfield. Do you honestly think Marti Cifuentes, 4-3-3 king, wants these central midfield options? We've got a fcking spotty teenager starting in the pivot at home to Middlesbrough. Do you think that's Cifuentes' doing/choice?

I just. I can't. He'll be gone soon anyway. Like I say, we'll look in here again in a bit. Probably after we've lost at Northampton.

Absolutely nailed this Clive.

Gaps all over the squad. I dont believe Mati isnt smart enough to have seen this and challenged it over the summer.

Feels like he is waiting to be sacked.

I am hopeful we can scrape a few points and still be within touching distance come Jan. 3/4 championship level signings / loans and we may have a chance. Sadly, that would probbaly mean shifting Chair on to do so. Who doenst look fit at all btw.

Mother Doak is no mean left back apparently, and certainly offers more than Santos in defence.
Apparently went junior Doak gives her a swerve at home in the back garden he gets good clip round the ear for his troubles.
