Without Saito, Chair, Kolli, Field, JCS and probably Cook also. But for some reason, I think we will put in a decent performance and will surprise with a two nil away day victory. Smyth and Dembele on the score sheet for me !!! There's no reasoning behind this. I was certain we would lose at home to Pompey and was very confident of getting some kind of result against Leeds, last time out. Both for no other reason, other than some random insight based on nothing !!! Away win, it is... [Post edited 28 Mar 17:37]

Does a Chair or Morgan in for say Edwards in midfield make that much difference? But yeah definitely wouldn’t play that midfield 3.
Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 18:37 - Mar 28 with 3597 views | derbyhoop | Club has said that Varane and Lloyd will be back. Cook out, as they need to deal with his foot problem. Despite him being in the training photos! Allegedly, there were hints that Kolli might be back. Didn't see him in the photos. I suspect Edwards will move back to the defence, probably alongside Fox. Colback & Varane ahead of them. The attacking 3 could be contentious. Smyth or Yang, Andersen, Dembele. Frey up front. Bench - Walsh; Ashby, Morrison; Yang or Smyth, Morgan, Madsen, Bennie; Lloyd and Petrie, if Kolli not ready. Dunne as captain?

I’m not so sure. We’ve had two uninterrupted weeks on our state of the art training ground and would imagine we’ve removed any deficiencies, honing to perfection, the wingers long throw onto the right backs head. 48 points and safety.

Smyth played LW when he was at Orient.

Fans love a good winger and we've had quite a few. Going back donkey's, villa had a winger called Charlie Athersmith. He was a heavy drinker and had a short career. One game, in protest at having to play in impossible conditions of freezing torrential rain, he nicked an umbrella off a spectator and dribbled up and down the wing. Villa finished the match with only 7 men on the pitch and one of them had to be treated for exposure in the dressing room after the game. All true, look it up on Wiki.

That’s what I was thinking. I’d start with him on the left and Dembele or Yang on the right. Nothing against Andersen but I hope Marti isn’t tempted to use him as a Chair replacement in the 10 role. ( Or even worse Madsen ). I think we need a combative midfield of Varane, Colback and Morgan for this one, with Edwards slotting back into central defence. [Post edited 29 Mar 0:05]
