Cardiff Reflection 17:28 - Apr 5 with 4789 views | bluenwhite10 | A poor game between 2 very poor sides and a nervy game too as it was a game we could not afford to lose. The game had little or no real clear cut chances with the ball spending more time in the air instead of the ground. In the current situation we find ourselves in we are going to score lots of goals as we have no attacking options which took a further blow with Lloyd going off and in fairness performed quite well. Field looked rushed back and off the pace. It might turn out to be a good point as a Cardiff win would have dragged us back into the mix. As good as Nardi is with shot stopping he struggles badly judging crosses. Really poor performances from Yang and Anderson . MOM today Edwards
Cardiff Reflection on 20:20 - Apr 5 with 1652 views | baz_qpr | Very very nervy performance, all these "performance coaches" and we dont seem to have a Sports psychologist. 1st half thought the back 4 did well as did the middle 2. Lloyd did very well but the three attacking midfielders were terrible. Smyth totally did my head in, got into a great position only had to do a simple cut back. to Anderson overplayed and lost the ball, then Lloyd did a fantastic bit of work put the ball across the face of the goal and if Smyth had been where he should have been a simple tap in. 2nd half it all fell apart a bit after the subs. I thought Bennie did alright up top, occupied them made some good runs etc. We had little joy down the left all game their right back was very good snuffed out Yang and then when Smyth went over there we were even worse and I think we learnt that Smyth is not very effective on the left. Morgan and Varane were both terrible. I think young Kieran probably needs to go back to the 21s for a bit I'd like to see Alfie Tuck given a shot. Nardi's distribution and decision making was really poor again and nearly cost us a goal late on coming for a cross he had no chance of getting. I'm really unconvinced by Dembele, I think the manager needs to give him a clear defined role rather than a free one because I just dont see what he brings to the party other than the corners MOTM for me easily between the two centre half's who were head and shoulders our best players. Look you can't fault the effort of the players today and we might have to grind out some scrappy draws we all know we have huge problems in midfield, very little attacking threat and no strikers [Post edited 5 Apr 20:20]

Cardiff Reflection on 20:38 - Apr 5 with 1584 views | Northernr | Picked Lloyd up front as ppl wanted. Lloyd isn’t v good, shock. Lloyd got injured as the manager said he would if he picked him. Half an hour with an Australian teenager charging about out of position up front. Madsen unused sub. CEO/DOF who’s overseeing this jumping about behind a row of literally the entire first team sitting there impassively. Mess.

Now if you had said that our CEO/DOF was sitting quietly in conversation with Steve Cook during the game then I would be sitting here nodding in approval. What you describe is undignified, unwarranted and embarrassing. Not the sort of person you would want representing your club. He really has to go. Preferably tomorrow. Was Lee Hoos there as well? If so, he should be having a word.

Just to add to the small Morgan / Varane paragraph. Varane played like lunatic . One of the most bizarre cameo’s I can remember . Tore about like he was on the gear and then lost the ability to co ordinate brain to foot communication. He was horrendous for the last 15 mins. Morgan all of a sudden looks way out of his depth. In truth he looks like what he is…a kid dropped in a poor side in the championship. Just strange that he coped much better when he first came in. He’s a young kid and this is all good experience, but really , he’s playing like he shouldn’t be anywhere near the team at the moment . Unfortunately the head coach doesn’t have a choice .

So why DID he pick him then? And, to repeat, what would you have done differently with this terrible team?

I don't know what else he can do with this squad tbh and frankly it's a miracle we have as many points as we do . As for Lloyd he picked him because who else is there

Cardiff Reflection on 17:38 - Apr 5 by stevec | Bloody awful but thought Colback and the defence deserve a pat on the back. I don’t want to hear any criticism of Paal tonight. |
I had Edwards, Colback as reasonable performances and Paal possibly MOM, not a difficult accolade to win though considering how poor we were. Only positive is Cardiff we nearly as bad so have to wonder if they will get 6 more points and be able to finish above us, rises to 7 if we can sneak a draw somewhere but struggling to see us pick up any more points.

Absolutely - unless you truly believe getting relegated is the best thing for this club, or going to happen sooner or later anyway, then it has got to the point that it is of little importance how we play or how we pick up those remaining few points we probably need. Just get the job done - bit like Harford in those strange Ruddock / Jones last few matches. I think Marti agrees based on yesterday. Absolutely mustn't lose the game. It was so boring people barely dragged themselves back from the Grand National well into the second half. So pleased to see Morrison and Field back, will help enormously. I'm going to Oxford and I couldn't care less how we go about not losing there, as long as we don't. Park the bus, I say. Send everyone to sleep. We have zero up front anyway. I have a feeling that is what we will try to do...

I was told in no uncertain terms by Nourrys cheerleaders that if only we had started Lloyd last week we would’ve got something at Stoke and would give Cardiff a solid dicking. And now you say he’s not very good?!?

Laugh out fcking loud. I would say there is an obscene amount of irony in the person complaining about Cifuentes yesterday but refusing to actually offer anything they would’ve done differently now asking what he should’ve done differently. Unfortunately my irony meter just exploded and I’ve spent the last 5 minutes putting out the resulting fire. The bill is in the post.

It’s been known for some time that AI is prone to hallucinations, which are better known as errors in the real world. Now it seems AI is prone to emotions and tantrums too. Must be the latest release - what progress we have made with technology ! I assume it/they/them wasn’t happy that Madsen stayed on the bench rather than we couldn’t win the game, but maybe he’s just as pissed off as some fans at the result and second half performance. Either way - maybe sit down quietly and ‘take the pain, Sucker.’ Meantime, I guess we need to go into the garage with some tools and build something special for Oxford - no, I meant other type of tool, Marti.

The real irony is the hilarious/tediouslack of self-awareness/humility that doesn't even allow you to realise I simply don't respond to people like you. As to your 'irony meter' bill, let's hope the machine blew up in your own smug face!

That’s how that dreadful Ray Harford side stayed up. Signed Ruddock and Jones, drew 6 of its last 7 and stayed up despite winning one of its last 16 matches.
