A really good idea by Chris Guy and although you'll get loads saying why has this player or that one got a number it's a nice touch and something to add to the forever r's stuff which has been a big sucsess in celebrating the clubs history

410, Wilf Bott, I’m pretty sure my dad’s was nicknamed after him as all his mates called him Wilf but his actual name was Alan!
Time would work as well!

Ya, that's him.

Was there a third brother hoping to make it at that time, or have I dreamt that?

I’m sure there was a Graham Wilkins but don’t think he played for us. Them & Brighton but I could be getting my Wilkinses mixed up.

I went to a particularly evil Ch*ls** - West Ham game in about 1980 settled by a Graham Wilkins own goal. We were so scared we didn’t leave the ground for an hour.

817 - incorrect spelling of Stuart Wardley’s fist name!

Ossie Kakay’s definitely missing - great spot whoever spotted that. He should be 1097.

And of course, I forgot Shabazz Baidoo, who created his own music genre!

As well as his career as a professional footballer, Baidoo has a music career under the stage name Terminator (otherwise known as T or the Darkside Pioneer). According to his GrimeForum page, Baidoo's musical career is secondary to his footballing and is a recreational activity. However, since the end of his football career, his output has been more sporadic and he prefers to be an unsigned artist.

Baidoo is said to have created his own musical subgenre within grime known as "darkside", which predominantly involves a "sluggish flow" coupled with violent lyrics. Some of his musical techniques include rhyming words with themselves and holding one syllable for an extended amount of time to allow a bar to pass. Sometimes Baidoo will even make use of one word lines in his lyrics.

On 19 December 2013, Baidoo released Darkside Pioneer. On 2 November 2015, Baidoo released Darkest Facts of Existence. In March 2019, Baidoo released a surprise project, his third album, Darkest Facts.

Young Shabazz didn't want a cup of 'teeeeeeeeeeeeea' , if I remember rightly.
He may have used the extended syllable technique, but he forgot his manners. I would suggest that by not extending the syllable, he could have added a 'thank you' to that verse.
His best performance for us was v China u23's, mind.

So, basically someone who can't rap or write lyrics but still wants to be a rapper?

Best thing about him was the jungle book song. Think his musical career peaked then.

So many notable players from the early years: the Reverend Basil Loney at 182 who played on the left wing and was excellent at providing crosses. Henry Pidgeon-Gerry at 195. Herbert Middlemiss at 203, who was could only score in the corner. Shirley Abbot at 240, the first trans-player in history. William Pigg at 268 who was transferred after eating the entire pre-match breakfast. Willy Cockburn at 321 who invented chafe-free underpants. The list is endless.
