Did a very good job, hard to find fault. Made a couple of good saves and generally commanded his area.
He got penalised for holding onto the ball early on, which seemed harsh watching on a stream. Said he didn't know the 6 second rule. It beggars belief that the goalkeeping coach has not mentioned this at any stage. He should do his homework too. Someone needs to brief him on the 8 second rule.

The most comfortable I’ve felt with a GK for a long time. Very decent all round game. Just felt solid.
Probably says quite a lot about the state of our goalkeepers for the last 18 months that a journeyman semi retired keeper that’s been a serial Championship backup for the best part of a decade looks a class above what we’re used to.

He looked control of his penalty box, which is massive upgrade! Oh, and you'll like this: When he comes for it and if you're in the way, then fck you...as Jimmy Dunne found out!
Like Buzz, Kone (as a striker), RND, and Mads, first names on the teamsheet.

I agree re not knowing about the new rule. Couldn’t believe he said that in his interview. A professional goalkeeper and wasn’t aware! Makes me think he doesn’t watch much football as refs have been counting down on their fingers in most games all season!
That aside I thought he had a very good game.

He did fine although to be honest he didn't have a lot to do, made 2 good saves which you'd expect him to make. Not knowing the rules was ridiculous but overall he didn't let us down

Ain’t that the truth. Is someone with his career history the answer I fear not. Not knowing the goalie possession rule is almost unbelievable on both him and the club for not ensuring he knew it. Almost anyone will look more commanding than Nardi in controlling his box but I think people are going overboard on how well he played. To me shows just how far short the previous keepers have been this season.
I never lie but I don't always tell the truth

Terrified me how long he took to kick down field with someone closing him down . Seemed to push it right to the limit and will come unstuck sooner or later taking that long . Did everything else very well though , especially commanding his box . Annoyingly looks like Arsenal’s Ben White who I can’t help but want to punch to death , though 😆
(Thats not serious for the over sensitive amongst us)

Agree with this.
Will hold off on judgement for a while yet - small sample sizes and all of that, plus haven't seen how he is on one-on-one's, sweeping and more.
But that was a fine game yesterday.
The goalkeeping situation overall is a real concern, but that's not his fault. Best of luck to him.

2nd save to his left a number of keepers would not make (Seny!) what I really liked is that he came he caught or he punched and clattered everyone on the way through. There was one moment where they stuck in a cross deep to the back post and he came and got enough of a punch to push that away from the strikers head. We conceded that same position as a goal twice last week against Ipswich

I thought his aerial command was the big plus yesterday. Our backs could push out those crucial yards as well, knowing he was coming for anything in between.
The save to his left, I think every keeper gets to that - nice height, nice bounce - but great deflection away from trouble was the key there.
The save to his right was harder, but again I think most keepers get to that, but what I can't decide and maybe we'll never know is whether he meant to deflect that up and over the crossbar. If he did, it's not just a decent save, it's a really quality save.

Reminded me of Banks v Pele. And no, I'm not saying it was that good. But very similar.

Wasn’t he on the bench, theoretically watching the game, when we got the corner award given to us in the prior match ?
Other than that, no self-Hamer. He did a good job.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

He was very good yesterday, 2 excellent saves and commanded the box. Most of his distribution was ok, just one wayward kick I think. Survived playing out from the back, just about.

100 percent improvement on Nardi. Showed his defenders early on he was coming for crosses and bashed Dunne in the process. Made a couple of fantastic saves. Rangers would have lost without him in goal. So, fantastic debut.

He’s obviously going to be the new Phil Parkes so first home game he runs to the net we should all sing … Shake it shake it shake it shake it like a Polaroid picture

Refreshing to see a goalkeeper willing to clatter his own defender to claim the ball. What I was always taught to do but seems a rare occurrence now.
something this defence has needed all season . and one of the reasons the defnece at time has looked as shaky as it has , the will he wont he come for the ball has cost us a few goals this season , did enjoy his first cross when he cleared everyone out out totally coming for the ball something narid wont ever do im sorry to say . hes got the job till jan prob
