The people skills are one of the ways Christian Nourry’s regime betrays his and its inexperience the most.
Clive, that sentence from your review nails how I feel about Nourry. He epitomises the arrogance of youth and there doesn't appear to be an old head in his team that can provide him with some wise and much needed balance.
In my experience, there are certain people, often those who've been around for a good while, who will embody an organisation. Someone who carries its shared values, understands its strengths and weaknesses, and knows its history. Furs is undoubtedly one of those people at QPR. And Nourry is kicking him out. For me the jury is out on Nourry. I totally agree with your Furlong piece and I will reserve full judgement until the end of the season. We do seem to have the best squad we have had in years (thanks to Eze again) and Rome wasn't built in a day. However I continue to struggle with the "Head of Performance" and "Head of Methodology" roles and the people fulfilling those roles. | | | |
