I thought the 20% started with priority general sale at 5pm?

Yep so what they are meant to do is when the first 80% are sold, they are meant to pause sales and open up the other 20% in the first general sale window (5pm). They hardly ever get this right, sometimes they open the general sale window but leave the loyalty point cap that was in place when they went off sale, sometimes they release them early but the communication is always awful about it.

As others have said a big batch appeared on the map at about 4pm, suggesting they just dropped the other 20% in once the first 80% was sold/almost sold and didn't wait for general sale. They mess this up almost every time.

A mate heard a rumour that they might release more as the home fans just won't be up for this. Personally though I'm resigned to not getting a bastard ticket now - imagine if we gave up half the capacity of LR to the opposition

Yes. They routinely get 45-50,000 bums-on-seats for less glamorous games biut always report 62,000 attended.
They are NOT up for this tie at all so can't see much more than 35000 turning up so they could easily give us loads more.

Would’ve thought there’s pretty much zero chance the allocation will be increased. They’ll have sold tickets in the blocks either side of the away end.

I can understand people being frustrated,but if you haven’t got at least 100 points in order to buy after 1pm,you’re hardly a regular fan.I know some people couldn’t get to a phone or computer,but I reckon general sale should’ve been delayed for a bit longer to allow those with 100 points to buy them.

I had to wait until five because I pay for my son’s tickets meaning I’ve got plenty of points but he hasn’t. Fortunately got a couple then.

They’ve misjudged it which I think is understandable given nobody would have thought it would sell at the rate it did. In hindsight they could have done the usual sort of price brackets for the games with higher demand but suspect staff levels at the Box Office next week will be minimal so wanted it mostly done today.
