West Brom supporters on twitter scratching their head at their line up too... Not sure what that means for the kind of game this'll be, but it's going to be something.

More insights as I have them

In a period of 4 game in 11 days, makes sense to put weakest starting eleven out at the game that is supposedly the most difficult.

Could be genius or could be ridiculous.

i trust JS and happy to see Poku and Morgan get starts, happy Vale and Kolli on the bench and happy RND, Mbunege been rested and good decision to keep Burrell on the bench should the need arise.

Wonder how this post will age in two hours time !!!

Fully agree with resting Burrell, and any others who need it.

Going to be interesting!

Team strips difficult to distinguish. Feel like this has been the case for the pink and black strip before?

I’m told Field has taken the gloves off of Hamer now.

He has a decent goalscoring record v WBA tbf. Denied a hat-trick last season

Yeah I've been blinking at the screen for 15 minutes...

We look generally unsure of our shape all over the pitch. And almost no pressure on their back four in possession, Field kind of lumbering around.

Feels like a long night on the way.

Sweet Jesus - we look inept, nervy, and negative. No idea who's doing what in almost any position. 20 mins played, 30% possession. Buckle in, people!

Edit - 3 mins of decent pressing up front, with Field our improbable no. 10.

We now have more striking options than we've had in years and yet Sam Fields is up there in the most advanced position. He is a defensive midfielder. It's not even like he is just an additional midfielder leaving Kone as the lone striker. He is actually playing right up top with Kone a little behind him. It makes no sense.

2 years ago we cornered the world market in goalkeepers........and now we don't have a decent keeper between the lot of them..........and again Nardi is on the bench......

That was less than pathetic from Hamer

Obviously por from Hamer, but who was the player who allowed the scorer to climb up on him?

Doesn't really.matter who we pick in goal. None of them are good enough.

Esquadinha skinned by the 1-2 which led to the corner, Hamer in full Nardi mode.

FFS.

A possible foul for their goal but a really poor start, Esquerdinha is struggling, Morgan being caught out of position, Field haring around in a no.10 role. I'm all for squad rotation but this set up isn't working....hope I'm wrong.

There was a thread earlier about subbing off keepers, and, for me, Hamer should be removed at h/t for that abomination. That really was weak beyond weak. If I was Dunne, I'd have hit him.

Hardly a whimper from Sinton on comms, who if anything seemed to offer him some kind of token defence, which I also find amazing.

It's embarrassing, isn't it, how predictable this sh*t is.
