Trying to think of another striker with an almost absolute inability to control a ball, in conjunction with constantly giving away fouls in the process of trying to do so.

Look, the reason Dunne and Cook played so well, and had to, against Stoke was that the ball came straight back the moment it was cleared or played forward. Our inability to get the ball under control and manage a few passes between us was embarrassing.

I get we are tired, have players missing etc, but surely as professional footballers, we should have the capacity to carry out the basics of the game. The stats were damning.

I hope Kone comes good, I really do, Rangers have been in my blood for most of my life and I believe we are moving in the right direction.

Time will tell, fingers crossed, let’s hope for better tonight.

You're first 3 paras are rare beacons of sanity. As I said (and as you said, the stats don't lie), the performance at Stoke was as bad as Ainsworth's showing at Burnley (in fact, with all the gamesmanship, I think it was worse) - and we won that game!

Poll: What d'ya expect from our last 3 holiday games (WBA(A), Norwich(H), Sheff W(H))?

Can we try Morgan as a hybrid 10 behind Kone? Can we Juilen can we pleeeease?

Go on - just give it 85 mins and if its not working we can change it.

I think we get it Burnley. You don't rate Kone which is your opinion.
Remember how far he's come already and it's quite remarkable that he's capable of 6 goals this season. He's still only 23, so, potentially, there's still development to come.
Wouldn't it be good to see him bang in a couple tonight and we'll all be happy.

Would be delighted. As for Kolli, how many touches did he actually have against Stoke?

Barely any by my recollection. Perhaps another reflection of our general inability to hang on to the ball or pass it to one another.

It was tosh, we all know it. We move on. Let’s hope tonight is significantly better…

I remember watching Kolli in the dev squad and he used to come deep and carry the ball through the middle. He's far further forward for the senior team so I guess still adapting to that position. I like him.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

Yeah, passing to players in the same coloured shirt helps. It should be easier tonight. Avoid the ones that look like stewards.

Going deep undercover tonight behind enemy lines.

Sitting in the family stand with a colleague who has an Oxford season ticket.

Just hope it's not as boring as at the weekend.

Mate thats a load of rubbish

He signed 2 days before our cup match and had hardly played for 2.5 months - No manager is going to play a new signing 2 days in.

We are in exactly the same league position as we were when Edwards signed, still well within the play off picture (4 points outside)

Why would you rush him into the side with all the injury issues our side currently has when you have 2 players match fit and have played most of the season together. Lets stop knocking the management for something that is a pretty sensible approach.

Can't beat Oxford away which any team hoping to get into play offs should be smashing. Let's save him for August eh? This club baffles me.

So you coach kids and they have better skills than Kone.

Interesting. Looks like Stainrod’s Elbow has some competition at last.

Impressed by Kone’s cracking performance at Oxford?

So Coventry, Millwall, Middlesborough, Bristol City all drew when they visited Oxford, so kind of defeats that argument again, once again with facts. Not only that, but Oxford are currently experiencing 'new manager bounce' another thing to factor in. Very few clubs have 'smashed them'

However, unlike you, I can admit when I am not right, and I do think Edwards should have played a part last night if not started. He would have been a better option than RND when he came on. But we didn't draw last night because he didn't play, and if you think we did then you were watching a different game to me

Ha ha what a bizarre post. I'll dissect it if you like. Firstly I've never said I was right and I've never said anyone's opinions were wrong. I've just offered a different perspective.
Secondly your post makes no sense. So according to you just cause Coventry and Middlesbrough didn't win there it means we shouldn't too? Well Coventry flogged us 7-1. Maybe that means we should have lost at Oxford? In fact maybe we should not play any games at all and just sit round a table and give 3 points on probabilities? Oxford are second bottom and we haven't beaten them home or away, it's not a good look. And thirdly I'm glad you think Edwards should have played over a 30 something Cook who's retiring in 3 months. But you can't say that we wouldn't have won even if he did ,cause no one knows that. Although it would have given us a better opportunity .We are not winning football matches and yet a lot of posters on here don't want to change things. Let's find a winning formula cause if we keep doing the same things we'll keep getting the same results.
