Simple and incontrovertible fact: don't ask someone to do something if you're not prepared to do it yourself! So, as agitator in chief of Monkey and Space, I'll get off my whinge box and do this one. Only done one before and I can only offer hope that I can't be as worse as I was then and W7R was midweek. Shirley? That said, 1-1 my prediction. C'mon Rs, 'kin 'ave it!!!

| Pony Up: Dunne's a Pro, Blades for show Fred on 17:22 - Feb 28 by OldPedro | I get starting Esquerdinha as we don't really have anyone else to play at left back, with RND not eligible today and Field out on loan. Don't think Vale is the answer as he struggled there as well. Smyth starting might have been an option, given that he came on at half time anyway. Saito is a shadow on the player he can be and maybe coming on from the bench might be better for him. However, the injuries and a few players out of form is making it difficult for the manager although with the number of fit centrebacks we now have, maybe a different formation at the back or 3 in midfield with maybe Edwards pushing forwards should be tried. |
He's got to do something different next week. Two in centre mid without Madsen as one of them just won't work, whatever combination we pick.

| Pony Up: Dunne's a Pro, Blades for show Fred on 17:13 - Feb 28 by StreathamRanger | I'm not one to give JS much stick but the starting team was all wrong and he has to take some responsibility for that. Esquardina and Saito should never have been partnered together. Varane is simply nowhere near as good as either he or someone at the club thinks he is and Bennie is way way off championship level. Once we had Kolli, Mbengue and Hayden on we looked an awful lot better. |
Which seems obvious, even to a casual observer, which is worrying.

Because, though it's water off a duck's back to me, there is supposed to be a board policy that shuts these people down, and I expect it to be implemented and people to be treated equally. I made an exasperated/silly statement about JS completely in keeping with the type of day it's been, and I was abused for no reason by two people here who basically just prove that it's not only on the pitch at LR that people behave like cretins. 100%. And you'd only have to look at Millwall to see what you can do with our budget if you appoint the right people. Know what kind of club we are - a strong manager who knows this league and a DoF who isn't fresh from the Quad. [Post edited 28 Feb 17:44]

Ok. You could have just reported the post anonymously. There was no need to announce this publicly. But then you have thrown out much worse abuse to three or four posters and suggested some people need to be disciplined. So, if we are going by your own suggested ideas as to how to moderate the board, you would be the one given the most bans and also for the longest, because even if it is not you that abuses first, you then go and abuse anyone and everyone. i cant understand why you dont learn at all and if i was moderating the board, you would be banned permanently. I dont know why you continue to not learn better ways of reacting Stainrod. You never learn. We are all on the same side, but you seem very adept in appearing that this is not the case by abusing your fellow fans constantly. Its so tiresome. Stop doing it. Anyhow, back in the real world, couldnt understand how on earth the goal we scored was wiped out for offside. Being at the game without the benefit of hindsight and video footage, it was hard to see why, but could have seen us nicking a draw, but the disallowed goal killed the atmosphere and the game, for me. And to add to that , saito decided to go missing completely, leaving espadinia to deal with not only Chong but their number 12 who must have thought we had a player sent off as was unmarked / unchallenged for 45 fckung minutes!!! 45 fcking minutes not one player or even more importantly.. our bstard manager could see saito go missing and 2 wingers attacking an inexperienced young defender every time they played forward ??? Indeed, it’s insane. Esquerdinha should be nowhere near a Championship game. I don’t care about the injuries excuse, after his first fifteen minutes of an abomination of a performance, JCS sent him up the wing and the entire team refused to pass to Esquerdinha. As for Saito playing in front of him, words fail me. The manager is on thin ice.

I sadly think the answer to the last part is...yes. Just can't warm to this guy TBH. Hope he is learning as he constantly says he is...because next season ain't going to be any easier. Personally I don't think we will even finish 16th this season. It's a good job we have enough points to keep us up... don't we ?🤔

I was in ER too. Don’t really agree that Saito was to blame. The entire defence seemed unsure where to position themselves to deal with the threat down the left. JCS not blameless in my view. But actually I don’t really blame the players. Esquerdinha has a handful of Championship appearances and the management put him up against Chong who has about 100 plus 33 in the Prem for Luton. In front of him we put Saito, who is a skilful attacking left sided player who in recent games has spent a lot of time trying to battle for the ball in central midfield, a role for which he is obviously not cut out, because we persist in trying to play with only 2 central midfielders. What did we think was going to happen? The underlying problem is that, whether because of lack of money or because the project means developing young players, we are woefully short of seasoned pros with Champ experience who have the nous and physical grit to negate the better players that wealthier clubs than ours will inevitably have.
