11 years old and went with my family and my football team who often got tickets for finals at Wembley as the parents at were hired as bar staff .
Sitting with my team mates who mostly weren’t rangers fans (about a third of the team were) I remember my first official feeling of embarrassment at following the R’s. Even as kids we expected us to win that game.
Other members of the team p*ssing themselves as the goals went in .

I was sure it was going to be 3-0, didn't for a moment consider it would be the wrong way round.
Met up with a cousin at Loftus Road and did the walk, felt like a win was inevitable. The altercation happened down in front and to the right of where we were but couldn't really see why it had all kicked off or what happened but the atmosphere went a bit weird. I was there with a few mates. One of them got so hammered the night before he was throwing up on the terraces at Wembley. Perhaps a sign of things to come.

That Plymouth game was my first trip to Loftus Road so two horrendous memories for the price of one for me. I was at the Caister Soul Weekend when we lost to Oxford. It was my 28th birthday and I had to endure two days of merciless p*ss-taking afterwards. All part of the bittersweet QPR-supporting experience though (not to mention a great learning-curve for life in general). | | | |

I remember someone saying to me that they were dreading the game - and indeed the warning signs had been there: whilst we beat them comfortably at home that season the away game was a strange one, ending 3-3, and I came away from that one moaning that we had been too easy to score against (there were a number of games where we conceded 4 or 3 away that season). However, the week before the final we'd beaten Leicester away 1-4 so I was hoping they'd take that confidence to the game. I don't think we even managed a shot on target. And then the following game we got royally thrashed at home against Spurs 1-5 and I was so depressed I barely spoke to anyone for weeks. Bloody team. |  | | |

That is my worst ever memory of a QPR match. I was there, but recorded the match to watch again and again as I expected a 3-0 win.
I left Wembley the moment the final whistle blew, went home and immediately recorded any crap that was on TV over my recording.

Invited back by a certain Son of Northolt(known him since School days) to the 2014 play off final, he had been badgering me for a few years to return and he got me a ticket for the final and I was hooked again, and by the following season I got a season ticket and had one ever since. Probably to be honest love going to Rangers more these days then when I went in the 70s and 80s, even though today I have further to travel then a few stops down the Central line back in my youth. |  | | |
