I said to friends when they appointed him that I was amazed at his 6 year contract as the managers/head coaches are usually sacked within 2 years. I added it will be a very healthy payoff for him when he leaves.

I think Rosenior was always on a hiding to nothing because on day one it was clear the players were like, who the f*ck is this guy? He also spoke bollox very calmly which was very confusing and threw his players under the bus (probably quite rightly) which of course made them effectively down tools. Not that Rosenior cares. He's just made enough money to retire if he likes courtesy of Chelsea's bizarre accountancy and financing system.
Chelsea is a poison chalice now. You half think that Todd Boehly should probably do what he's always threatened and run it himself. Then sack himself for a Billion dollar compensation fee.

If they put it in the contract and he signed it, I guess it's legally binding. Even if it's "only" circa £5m, he won't starve. Not bad for three months work (plus the 3 months salary). | | | |
