I thought this had now been limited to a maximum of 5 years for spreading transfer fees in accounts.
UEFA has a regulation to that effect and the PL has imposed a five year limit:

He was high energy, all go for RoI in the summer. Best player on the park for 45mins - then got sent off. Deffo one to watch this season and our ‘Boy’ could have his hands full when they meet. | | | |

Wrexham do like an experienced midfielder with little sell-on value though they’ve not brought in many thus far. Would imagine that will change. Preston certainly feel like one of the three to be awful enough to not have such bad relegation-based panic attacks when we lose five in a row in January.
Birmingham too have spent big on Solis who they had on loan but not really gone as big as you’d maybe expect. Either the dreaded FFP/new acronym for it or everyone knows the relegated teams are so far ahead that gambling big on promotion is foolish even for them. | | | |

In Birmingham's case their chairman/co-owner Tom Wagner suffered a stroke in February.
Up until then he had been the face of everything they had been doing on and off the pitch.
Apparently he is recovering but their momentum does seem to have slowed since he stepped back
Blues manager Chris Davies was one of the favourites for the chop at the end of last season and he's still in post.

Kolli sale = £2m plus what we did have for a replacement Striker £2/3m then we could of got Dom Ballard but that ship has sailed now with him going to Brizzle.
Bit worried about up top as the season progresses, need more than we have with all the rumours/injuries/unsettledness going about.

Looks like both of these deals (Vitek and Phillips) have almost been confirmed now. Boro definitely splashing the cash this week! Must've got a decent amount of cash from the sell on clause for Morgan Rogers going to Chelsea on top of what they got for Hackney going to Everton. Just remembered they signed Will Lankshear from Spurs as well didn't they?! They really have spent some money in this window. [Post edited 6 Aug 16:28]

Puts everyone in the league into the shade.
But they did receive a fortune for the Morgan Rogers add ons (far more than we got for Eze) and they sold Hackney for £16.5m.
They have basically brought in transfer income this summer equivalent to more than we have brought in since we sold Eze to Palace, including his add on!!
The key bit of the Player Trading model is the selling. It’s hard. If we bring in £20m-£30m next summer, I suspect we’ll be making a few big purchases too… Out net spend over the last two seasons is still significant, especially as a % of our income… |  | | |

Lot of people,e forget how much defensive work he di for us as well in the box at corners and chasing back , he didn’t score many but as a sub striker to cover kone he would have been ideal for a season on. Freebie |  |
