It doesn’t bother me. If the club want to drum up a few extra sales and some people have fun wearing their away kit together (probably aimed at the youngsters after all) it doesn’t do any harm. We know we’re not exactly awash with cash so I’m guessing we work on the every little helps philosophy. |  | | |

The club's post about this doesn't make it clear what the point of this is, they assume supporters know who KitAid is and what they do.
In their own words, KitAid "is a charity that recycles your once loved football kit and distributes to underprivileged children and adults in some of the world’s poorest countries".
What the charity does sounds pretty worthy to me, but I can see why people are unhappy about us abandoning our iconic blue and white hoops for a home game.

In the last decade we've worn all white at home, red and white halves, and dark and light blue halves, usually with a sale of that shirt in the club shop.
We've won both away games in the black shirt and they're trying to push more sales so I get why.
The backlash against the MrQ sponsorship means they need the PR - this just all feels a bit 'that would be a good idea' without thinking it through. |  |

My first thought that this was some national initiative where clubs go sponsor-free to raise awareness for something or other...but seems like Blackout means simply we're wearing the black kit?

I’ve just looked it up and it’s exactly 100 years this month since we went to blue and white hoops. A random navy number in August 1926 after the green and white.

Wearing blue and white at home hasn't exactly done QPR's record over the last 10 seasons a lot of good. QPR usually lose between 7-11 home games.
Last season we lost 10 league games at home. It wasn't that much better previously either.
When QPR wore the one off promotional kits they won. Red and white (3-2 Cardiff) , Light and dark blue halves (1-0 WBA).
Maybe a hat-trick of wins is on the cards.
