The club's post about this doesn't make it clear what the point of this is, they assume supporters know who KitAid is and what they do.
In their own words, KitAid "is a charity that recycles your once loved football kit and distributes to underprivileged children and adults in some of the world’s poorest countries".
What the charity does sounds pretty worthy to me, but I can see why people are unhappy about us abandoning our iconic blue and white hoops for a home game.

I'm more than aware of KitAid & what it has achieved, mainly because my other team is one of their core clubs. But this could all of been done while wearing our normal shirts.
Unless I'm reading this wrong (quite possible) it will only give 150 shirts to KitAid, all of which might be diffrent . A significant number in one donation, but not as good as the club donating full team kits from past seasons. | | | |

Downvoted accidentally. I agree with all this. It isn’t a woke thing at all. It is marketing people who don’t have a feel for the soul of our club.
If the suggestion that we will run out to Silver Lining is true that would really bother me a lot more than some stupid made up anthem. We have run out to a lot of different tones over the years , but Silver Lining when we win at him is special because it is only played then. If this really happens it is down to some idiot hearing sung at full blast on Wednesday and not realising why it is a special celebration for fans not used to winning all the time .

Dont get the anger myself, its a great kit voted one of the best in the league , I suspect probably our fastest selling one and went out of stock really quickly, couple it with a charity promotion, give the sponsor a bit of extra promotion as they are missing out with the black out and generate sales in the club shop and a some social media its a one off event.
There are many more important things in the world to be angry about at the moment, I dont think this is one of them. |  | | |
