Superb performance 6 nil up after 70 minutes
Nearly 5am here in Aus and this is one of the best performances I have seen from England for a bloody long time even to say in my lifetime.
Gordon has lifted massively since going to Spain.

This team would have pushed the accelerator down against the Argentinians. Shame it's taken until now to click and although Croatia were woeful tonight I think 'that kind of England team' could take out almost anyone. Was at times like watching prime Barcelona. The most impressive thing was the swarming hunting down when off the ball. Took as an average of 5 seconds to win the ball back when out of possession. Mighty impressive even with Croatia not being at it at all.
It would be lovely to see our Rs hunt the ball down like that. It is coming a bit. | |

We will then go one nil up in semi final in the first minute against Honduras - who somehow are now european - and protect our lead for the next 89 minutes and go defensive, and lose unfortunately in a heroic two one defeat.

Undisguised glee when they lose, or don't win well enough, delight in criticising the players, the selection, the formation and of course, the manager, who's never good enough even though half the players are shit.

I think it will be Bellingham. Kane is a 'centre forward' who can be found in any area of the pitch winning tackles, intercepting, passing and helping get us up the pitch. I don't think there is another striker who plays like that. Bellingham could probably adapt to that role and we would have a host of 10s to choose in his current position.

Very true with Bellingham as a type of nine. At moment Rogers is very decent in Bellinghams normal role.
No one wants to be a number nine anymore, number ten is the position most covet way more than the nine anyhow.
If Calvert Lewin is our replacement nine the downward gulf in class would be ummense. So yes good shout re Bellingham. | |
