I thought he had a fantastic game yesterday and scored two goals to boot or was it head? Anyway just a really good player and our best Captain I think since Macca!

Absolutely love Jimmy Dunne. Vital to us, the other players seem to love him, always gives his all - and he wasn't even meant to be fit today.

We should put him in the Forever R's now.

A real leader if ever there was one - and always appears to be such a nice guy. You can see he also demands standards, but is also really supprotive to other players and really important to the togetherness of the team.

Top man and such a threat in the opposition box .
So proud as well that a fellow Irishman is captaining this great club.

Been my favourite since he stepped on against Orient.

A loyal servant who’s carried on regardless in some sides that could stink the place out. He deserves to see some success, ideally a Championship medal and a place in the top league.

Paddy, you're Irish. Who knew?

Jimmy Dunne, our best Irish captain since Shaun Derry.

Ended up sitting next to him on a flight back from Dublin about 18 months ago. An absolute gent, with very obvious passion for our club. Couldn’t have a better captain imo.

Loved him revving the crowd up as he went up looking for his hat trick.
I suspect he wasn't thrilled they played that last corner short.
Fantastic bloke and clubman, playing really well.

One more goal would have put him out front as our leading scorer for the season. So he's entitled to be annoyed.

For now he has to share top spot with Kone and Smyth.

Clues in the name planet , clues in the name😉😂.
Don’t tell anyone I was born in Chiswick and moved back to a “great” new Ireland in the late sixties to Jack Lynchs brave new Ireland which lasted a couple of years .
Institutionalised here since eighties.
Love the place.

He was fuming after that corner. He had a right go at Kamara for going short.

Yes I saw that, Kamara didn't know what to say. I don't mind a short corner but it has to be a practiced routine, not just someone coming short with no plan - I think Jimmy agrees!

It was funny, the full-time whistle went soon after and you could see he was still a bit annoyed, then Adamson came over full of joy to snap him out of it.

I like that he was annoyed at the end of the Derby game as well. This is what you want from the captain.

I've told this story before, but I was mascot for the Aylesbury FA Cup tie, which was switched from there to Loftus Road.

I had a great day, and I loved it, but there were a couple of things went on. Trevor Sinclair (not playing) gave me Les' shirt, so come 2.50pm Les was in the tunnel topless demanding to know who'd had his shirt away. Then we got out onto the pitch and there were no footballs to warm up with, so I just ended up jogging up and down with Alan McDonald.

Macca was absolutely fuming. Absolutely livid with all of them. I remember him really getting stuck in while Brevett and Sinclair were laughing about Les not having his shirt, and telling them to stop pissing about and pay the game the respect it was due.

I think Loftus Road would have just melted in joy had Jimmy got that hat-trick yesterday.

Jimmy plays every game like he's one of us and I don't think you can ever speak higher of him than that.

Yeah that last minute corner really should've been whipped in.

I think JD would've tried to claim the match ball as he didn't even know Kone had scored a hat trick!

215 games into his career here at QPR so far since 2021 and the perfect example to the team and as the captain. An absolute unit at 6 foot 5 as well. We're very lucky to have him. Obviously absolutely adored by the squad and the management at all levels. Not even 30 yet, amazing. Captain Fantastic!

Never knowingly right.

The Captain in any team is key to setting the standards on field and this is even more important for a club like ours with overseas owners, an experienced DoF and regular changes of Manager and playing personnel.

The Championship is a very tough division and sometimes overseas Managers are not a great fit for teams that regularly struggle in this division.

This is why Jimmy Dunne is so important to our club, whether it be being supportive of new players arriving from abroad (eg Nico Madsen, Lucas Andersen etc) or supporting younger players in the first team.

Another example of being a leader was how Jimmy reacted to Mbengue's injury versus Derby, immediately taking control of the situation & telling the Physio's to get onto the pitch asap.

I compared his performance in that game to Dion Sanderson's and thought Derby are bang in trouble and sorely missed a Jimmy Dunne in their team.

Another thing I noticed after watching the highlights (again) was that after his 2nd goal, Kolli was pulling him aggressively by the neck of his shirt (by way of celebration) but JD was completely blanking him while he waited for other players to congratulate him - interesting.
