I didn't watch the game yesterday, but i read on the match thread Lloyd went off with a hammy. Has this been confirmed anywhere? If true my heart goes out to the lad and i hope he recovers soon.

If the Championship had a trial season playing walking football I’m convinced we’d still have just as many injuries.

He looked quite upset given he was banging his fist on the pitch, and had to hobble quarter way around the pitch (with support) to the dressing room. If it isn’t a hamstring it sure doesn’t look good.

He was rubbing the back of his thigh so it's very likely a hammy.

On the day football remembers those that fell in battle, Lloydy burst out of the trenches advanced toward the enemy and under live ammo, pulled up lame in the process. We shall wear our poppies for him.

He shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary nim, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember him.

Which brings us back to the questions: should he have been on the bench and has our medico/rehab got it wrong?

If we're questioning things, the players must be about to unleash an inquisition!

Another player who was out, gets brought back, and immediately gets injured again. Amateur hour.

It certainly looked like he stretched and pulled something, hamstring or in his thigh. Did he warm up properly?

If you are on the bench then you are fit to play.......I think it was a hamstring injury at Saints but not sure what his previous injury was.

For a guy whos main attribute is running and acceleration, this is very bad.

Both he and Burrell have the same skill set and its blazing speed which is both a nightmare for defenders and excitement and anticipation for QPR fans but 2 different finishers of course .
The fact both are out injured is just helping the other teams because while Kone is red hot I would beat him in a sprint right now and I am old .
Hamstrings are very bad injuries but on a posotive nite Joe Willock who we all suspected had a family history of.
injuries like his brother Chris is back and one of the best players for Newcastle this year .

Sh1t timing too straight after his first goal he would have buzzing after that

I think we'd have a better chance of using our own 'Performance department' than Villa do of suing Carragher.

What's gone wrong in this world? When I was a kid, the only hammy's we knew were sandwiches.

I hear it is quite a bad one and feel very sorry for him because his pace and closing down from the front is impressive. Surely we have to think about how we use our subs because what is that... 4 games now we've finished with 10 men because of an injury? Out of 13 games.

Never knowingly right.

This is worth very little, I know. Times change and all that. Gary Linekers’ game was based on his pace. ( obviously lots more than that) Before every game he had a bath to relax his muscles. Someone is going to dig me out here and fair enough if I’m not right, but I don’t remember him having too many injuries when he hit the lights.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

…and he played with some right showers

Does anyone have baths any more? Asking for a friend….and no, I’m not bathist

On a different point, I felt sure Kolli came on but was clearly even more pissed than I thought at the time. Another good day out spoilt by the football, twas ever thus I guess.

Yes another player coming back from injury breaking down again, happens far too often

You might be right Mick but I think the difference these days is the amount of constant defensive sprints that players are expected to do now. Back in Lineker's day when his team lost the ball he'd stand in the centre circle scratching his balls till they got it back. Or even have a shit on the pitch in a World Cup quarter final without anyone even noticing!

True. I played right back for my house at school and wasn't expected to cross the halfway line.

Imagine having a shit playing for the school team. That’s character building, that is.
