| Lincoln Reflection 17:54 - Nov 7 with 7906 views | bluenwhite10 | As Ian Holloway once said “She might not be the prettiest bird, but she went home in a Taxi with us” Not the best performance but 3 points is in the bag, Lincoln can feel hard done for the effort they put in today as they operate with a big budget but those players put the hard yards in and made it tricky for us to play around them. Very similar performance to Tuesday night. Smyth, Vale very poor today, Kempner quite and Poku came into more in the second half. I think the difference was we was able to bring on a bit quality in Chair and Cirkin. Obikwu if you have not got natural ability you need to make for it in effort so he needs to learn quickly on that front. MOM Ronnie is Ronnie and is a level above, but I thought Varane good was good but that balanced off with his bad is bad so today I will give it to Charles today who’s improvement in one of his weaker areas cross collection was noticeable as everything stuck to his gloves today and his distribution was impeccable. Off for the international break with 3 points in the bag after huffing and puffing. Come on you R’s | | | | |

We could be a bit more direct like them on occasion too - loved their attack when the keeper booted it to their player who took a shot. Proper old school vibes.

Despite being exactly like Norf said they would be like, at least there was very little of the dark arts from them, IMO. Once they scored, they seemed to realise, “this lot can be got at”, they had a bloody good go at us and we were VERY lucky not to concede a second. We were worth the win in the end, though. I hope they stay up. Them or bloody Preston? No contest. Their fans were great, too.
| I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers. |

Well I thought their defenders were very keen on our shirt.

| Lincoln Reflection on 11:59 - Nov 8 by Northernr | Agree on Chair, turned the game back our way just as it was threatening to slide away. Obikwu was utterly bizarre. Very difficult to justify him coming on ahead of Kolli on the evidence of this week, other than just to deliberately pis Kolli off. |
I've got a (slightly) irrantional issue with Kolli...just don't rate him or his attitude but acknowledge he's scored a few good uns over the past few months. Not nearly as good as he thinks he is. But do agree on Odikuwye (sp)...looked utterly hopeless.

| Lincoln Reflection on 12:49 - Nov 8 by nix | Obikwu was a bit bizarre yesterday though not so much against Burnley. But I can completely understand why he’s hesitant to play Kolli. He’s got only 66% pass completion this season, the worst in the squad. He’s also given the ball away that’s led to a goal. He’s scored no goals or assists and missed a big chance. I know stats aren’t everything but just from my own eyes I don’t think he’s been playing that well, although to be fair Chair should have scored from the cutback he made against Burnley. Of course he’s young and learning and hasn’t played many minutes, but Obikwo is also young and learning and hasn’t played many minutes. I can understand with his height and his greater physicality he’d be given at least a chance especially once Kone had come off. |
Agree with all of this. Plus Kolli has had enough chances and failed to take them, so Obikwu should get a chance. He looked off the pace, unsurprisingly considering he hasn't played much, but he is deceptively quick and his movement off the ball looks good. Hopefully we give him a chance rather than writing him off due to him not being Kolli. I don't think JS was to happy with his lack of effort by the the Paddock mind. JS went ballistic at him.

I can see why they brought him on, a big chance for him and he made some good runs but really hasn't taken his chance, would be surprised if we see him again for a while. Stephan was going berzerk with him at one point

Yeah he did ok on his previous sub appearance and I’m sure the hope was he’d occupy Lincoln’s big central defenders like Kone had but he seemed to amble around with little effort. Disappointing.

On the stream for a few seconds it looked like he had scored but it turned out to be Kamara but it would have really helped his cause to poke one home. If Stephan was angry with him he should rip Verane a new one after his giveways but he appears to say nothing to him. We are desperate for Burrell he would have scored a couple over the last few games
