We are Feyenoord... Again!

What a lovely kit that is. I am old enough to remember it the first time around.

Never knowingly right.

Think Cardiff may have forgotten their away kit or something, why else would they be allowed to play in Blue?

Ya, I can't understand it either.

It's a lovely kit, but we wear our hoops at home unless the ref tells us not to, I thought.

And, even if Cardiff had forgotten their away kit shouldn't they have worn our away kit, not us wear it?

I think it was our choice as the shirts were to then be auctioned off as a special limited edition shirt - so we must have confirmed that with Cardiff well in advance of the game

Thanks Bosh, that's how it sounded - I just didn't think that was possible under the rules of the game.

Personally I love the kit but I suppose they would not have worn it had we been there. I recall we wore an away kit at home before. Was it the infamous Joe Waters defeat to Leicester in the cup?

Another question - when was this kit launched?

How did I miss this?

Think it was launched at 3pm today - at least I had an email from the club at 15:02!

We also wore the all white League Cup final commemorative kit at home.... against Cardiff.

Yes, the white kit. We did of course. Thanks Pedro, I'd forgotten that.

It's a lovely kit. We're due a Dennis kit next couple of years. Think it'll be a corker at this rate!

Love the kit. Better than the away one imo.

But how come we are allowed to wear a change at home?

Just seen that the influence kits are back in the shop to purchase. The Dennis influence kit was one of the best ever in my opinion. Shanme about the slightly dodgy sponsor.

May have something to do with the Poppy appeal auction as it was our last home game prior to Armistice Day?

Thought I had the answer for you Brian but alas no.

I dug out an old programme that the cover had red and white checks on it.

Anyway a bit of info from them days that you might find interesting;

We were at home to Fulham that night 25th April 1972 0-0 result.
Cost of programme 7P
Cost of ST £18.75.
Best home attendance Monday 3rd April V Norwich City 25,257 Drew 0-0. (Norwich were top, we were 4th)
Best away attendance at Birmingham City Saturday 11th March 35,557 Drew 0-0.

Team; 1 Parkes 2 Clement 3 Gillard 4 Busby 5 Mancini 6 Hazell 7 O'Rourke 8 Francis 9 Leach 10 Ferguson 11 Salvage.

Gordon Jago was the Manager and the coach was Booby Campbell.

Don't think the White Horse has changed much since them days.

I don't know when it was launched this season, but I loved it as our change kit in 1975/76.

Why the club are saying it was our third kit that season I have no idea. Clubs didn't have three kits then!

Check out the footage of the win at Everton with Stan & Mick Leach scoring (it may have been Mick's first touch after coming on) in this strip.

Great info.

I wasn't even 2, Ted. I was already being brought to games but that was a night game so I doubt I was carried to that one!

I must ask my Dad where he (we?) used to drink back then.

When did the White Horse lose a good half of its building. Didn't it become a Blockbuster or something Ted?

I’ve had that shirt for years, love it, bought it from TOFFS.
Don’t know if they’re still going.
